Ok so I am almost ready to pull the trigger on ordering a JB. I have measurements. But here is my question because I have had some ball escapes in the CB leaving me half in/out. Do I order a smaller base ring or the 1/4" gap?

I made the switch a few years ago ( Queen's Keep ), and recently went down in ring size.

First off, the steel has no flex like the plastic does, so it may not even be a problem.

When I went down in ring size, I e-mailed MM several times, because a few times I had one escape. She told me it could be either the ring size or the gap. Send them a msg, she's usually pretty quick to respond and very helpfull.

For me, it seems that too small of a gap can give me a burning sensation, but since I went down in ring size there have been no escapes.

    Good luck

I found using MM's sizing rings are the only way to go. I never had a problem using the 1 7/8" base ring with the CB 6000. after wearing the sizing rings for a while I found the 1 3/4" ring to be the best fit. Also I was going to get the 1 3/8" diameter because that is what the diameter of the CB 6000 was. After talking to William at MM and using the sizing rings I went with 1 1/4' diameter. Although I used the stocking method to get the CB on, I think it was because there was just too much plastic to go through just pushing. I am also uncut. Anyway just ordered the Jailbird today and now the wait begins. I hope this helped.

A proper fitting ring should only allow your index finger tip to be inserted to the first knuckle when only wearing the ring while flaccid and standing. If your scrotum is not stretched, we do not suggest the 1/4" gap.
