I recently started posting audio role plays on youtube. It would be a dream come true to be an actual voice actor, but I won't be holding my breath anytime soon or even believing it possible. I'm having a ton of fun with it though. Maybe I will get lucky and my channel gain a tiny bit of popularity one day. I don't mind sharing a link with anyone interested but I won't put one on this post as I don't know the forum rules. I don't want to come across as soliciting myself instead of just sharing something I am doing for fun.
Easy way to describe it is that you the listener are one character and whomever is speaking is the other. There is a story of some sort being told as a back and forth conversation between the two but with only the speaker actually saying anything.
Oh this sounds really good. Since every movie, independent from which country it originates, is synchronised. A youtube channel seems to be a really good opportunity to get some presence in the really overloaded market. In germany we have cons for audiobooks, synchronespeaking and so on. Maybe this would also be an opportunity to present you and get in touch.
I always wished I could have been a voice actor. I figure this will be the closest I will ever have a chance to get. I'm having fun and that is what matters to me the most.
I listened to "Hanging out for an answer" and "Country Boy Helps". The voice is actually very good. The southern accent works. The two clips I listened to sound like they'd make for great opening chapters of some exciting stories. Good luck.
Thank you so much! I put up a part 2 for the country boy video late last night. I found some tips for settings to use in the recording software and I think it helps a lot. Hopefully going forward they will sound even better.
