Putting it on for the first time was a bit of a challenge, with the lock and pins being a bit fiddly, but the second time already went a bit smoother.

I ordered a 45mm ring to go with it, but when I saw the ring for the first time I looked quite a bit smaller than my HolyTrainer one (which is also 45 mm). It fits quite well when its on, but the balls and penis needed a little bit more nudging and pulling to get through it. When it's on, it all fits quite well, and there seems to be less chafing than with a plastic HT ring when wearing it for a longer time.

The tube is quite short, even for my boy-penis, so if I ever go for a Jailbird I might go slightly longer (about a 1/4 or 3/8 inch max). There's quite a bit of leftover skin that needs to go somewhere. Now that I'm wearing it for a little bit longer it all seems to settle into place. Looking forward to sleeping in it to see how that goes.

The 45mm ring is a perfect fit. That is good to know.

The tube might be a bit too short, but not by too much. Maybe adding a quarter of an inch would make it perfect. The glans bulge out of the front a bit, make it chafe sometimes against the fabric of my underwear. Having front bars would also help here, I think.

The key sometimes pierces into my belly when I bend over, for example, when I put on my shoes. If there is a device that is designed in such a way to not expose the top bit of the key, that would also be prefect.

So, all in all, an interesting device, in some ways an improvement on the plastic Holy Trainers, but still not the "perfect" device, if such a thing exists.

 

I tried sleeping with just the ring on as a step towards sleeping with the whole cage on.

I couldn't do that with the HolyTrainer rings, as those rings have some pointy bits sticking out. But the Ternence steel ring is almost like a normal cock ring, the bits where the cage is locked on to are rounded, so it's possible to just wear it without the cage.

It actually went fine. I did wake up a few times in the the night during nocturnal erections, but once one subsided I could easily fall asleep again, so no biggy. Still, I wonder if a 50mm ring would be even more comfortable during the night?

Wearing the Holy Trainer Nub v3 today with the 40mm ring. What's surprising about this is that when I initially bought this combo, about two years ago now I think, I couldn't wear it for 10 minutes before my balls started turning blue. What has changed in the mean time? No idea. Maybe there are some small details I do differently when I put it on?

Do I need an even tighter ring?

 

Slept in the Ternence device this whole night. So, yay, one point towards my February goal. But, my god, what an ordeal it was. I am a side sleeper, but when sleeping on my side, after half an hour or so, the ring starts to pinch (gravity doing its work). It's not as bad in the Ternence as in the Holy Trainers, but it is still noticeable. And in the dark of night, every little pain seems ten times worse, especially when you are already excited / anxious about sleeping with a chastity device on. So, I tried to sleep on my other side, but of course, after another half an hour, the same problem occurs. So, eventually I decided to go lie on my back and sleep that way. But, I notice that if I really want to go into deep sleep, my body just wants to turn sideways and curl up into a fetus position. Took my a long while to fall into deep sleep this way.

Woke up around 2AM because of a nocturnal erection. It was like the ring was on fire, so hot and painful. In this case, more so than the Holy Trainers, but that might also just be my memory playing tricks on me. I waited until the erection subsided, but it took a long while. I finally went for a pee, and also applied some ointment. This calmed things down. Then at around 5AM the same thing happened again, very, very tough and painful.

So, all in all, a very rough night, and I am not sure if I have the stamina to do this often enough to get comfortable with it. I can get away with one sleepless night, but with a family and a job, I need my wits about me during the daytime.

The flipside is that when I get out of bed, I don't need to bother putting the device on again. Wearing a device 24/7 is definitely something I would like to succeed at.

 

So, with the device still on, I went to work at the office. I ride my bike to work, but it's cold. When I get to the office my sack is feeling tight. I have some ointment with me, so I go to the toilet to fix everything. When I'm done I also bend over to fix my socks and shoes, and then I have that feeling you have when a nut escapes. I check to make sure, but unfortunately one ball did escape. I try to push it back into the ring, but no such luck. On top of everything, I forgot my emergency key! Since this is the second time it happened with the Ternence device, I wonder if maybe I need a smaller ring for it. I currently have a 45mm, which seems pretty snug, but maybe I do need a 40mm ring for it after all?

 

It's been a while. Not much has been going on through the summer, but now my wife has started dating again through one of those infidelity sites. She's chatting with two men, and she will have a date with one of them this week. It's a lunch date, so not likely that anything physical will happen, but I'm glad that she is on the prowl again.

Update: turns out she did fuck the last guy. After a while he did manage to get an erection and they did it. But it was a lame fuck and she felt bad about it, for various reasons, and she wanted to introspect on it first, which is why she didn't share it with me right away.
