I have a 50mm base ring in my metal cage. It slips down into my balls all the time and is easily pulled by nighttime erections. I have purchased a 45mm ring, but can’t get my balls through it to get it on. I am at day 20 today without release, so I understand my balls are rather large. I’m hoping that when I eventually get a release I can get the ring on, but until then I am a bit frustrated with the fit. I have a few questions. 1) has anyone been in a similar situation? What did you do? 2) as I think about a MM cage for long-term, how do I size the ring? I need it to be tight, but need to be able to get it on, too. Thoughts? 3) would an oval ring make a difference? Pic of current cage is in my profile. Thanks for any help anyone can offer!

Even putting one through at a time then pulling your penis through, you can't get your balls through a 45mm ring? I'm not sure that is physically possible unless you're suffering some severe medical condition, and no, not coming for 3 weeks doesn't count.

I def prefer the oval ring to round I have a mm jailbird but I also orders a few dif size rings so I would have options and when it fits right you don’t even know it’s there

On the mm they have how to do your sizing and it’s def a good guide to sizing all parts

Mm sends you sizing rings which help

Correct, I can get one through the 45mm ring, but can’t get the other through. It’s very frustrating.

The difference between a 50mm ring and 45mm is about 3/16" smaller in diameter. I would think you could get both testicles through but they're yours not mine. What I typically do is pull my scrotum through. Often the first testicle will follow, if not I push that through. Then using my thumb, first, and middle fingers kind of guide and push the second testicle through. Then push the penis through, adjust, and install the tube.

Some report that an oval ring makes wearing the device more comfortable, I'm not sure about putting it on. Assuming the oval ring has the same volume as a round ring, I can't see it making a difference.

Try putting it on in after a hot shower or in the bath, when things are really loose. Use lotion/lube and pull as much scrotum in after the first ball goes through. The other should fit fine.

As @Adam444 stated ... you have to get the scrotum through FIRST then your testicles then your cock ...

Looking at your picture ... I'm sure it is the way you are donning the ring.

On to your question oval versus round .... the oval will give you a mm or more room to work with ... I however ended up with an Ergo base ring for the best fit (ring diameter that is tight enough to stay put even during erection and comfortable enough to wear indefinitely)

Ok, so I was able to get the new ring on just after the shower. Pulled my scrotum through, then one ball at a time (had to stuff the second in), then it took almost 5 min to get my penis through. It was snug to the point of tight, and after 4 hours I had to remove it due to serious pain from chafe. I’m going to try again with baby oil gel tomorrow, but I’m not sure I can take the pain. I wish there was a size between 50mm and 45mm. 50 is a bit loose once on, but the 45mm is a serious challenge. Anyone have any suggestions/thoughts?

Baby oil gel will absolutely help and may give your body time to adjust. Temperature also is a factor - if it’s colder, a smaller ring is harder to handle as everything is pulled in tighter.

I went through the same thing with 45 v. 40. Eventually a custom cage with 45 fixed the issue. The 40 was fine then excruciating. No good for long term use. I may end up trying to get a 43 custom made in the summer.

If it’s still painful, you simply need a bigger ring. If the 50 is just too big, you would have to go custom. Or maybe try the oval rings or “anatomical” as I believe the Chinese cages call them.

    I’m confused
If you can get one through, you should be able to get them both through.
I start by pulling some scrotum through, then push one ball into the scrotum on the other side. Then pull more scrotum through and ball two pops right through into the sack.
I then squish the shaft until I can get him through too.
    Shaft has to be last!

The biggest problem I have, when the ring it tight, is due to my excitement. The extra bulk of an engorged shaft puts pressure on all the blood vessels and stuff going through the ring.
It is true that there is more room in a 50mm ring, but not a massive amount more. I'm surprised you are finding one too big and one too small.
I hope the baby oil helps.
During the night time erections I find that Vaseline helps around the base of my scrotum where the ring pulls.
    good luck

I’m trying to pin down my size before ordering custom. I’ve been wearing a 45 mm ring comfortably for a few months. Today, after release for PIV (but no O), I was using the Mature Metal measuring rings to see if I should go down to a 40 — the 45 feels a bit loose.

I wasn’t able to come close to squeezing my right testicle (larder than left) thru the 40. But then, to my surprise, I also couldn’t get it thru the 45 sizing ring — despite having had a 45 base ring on for the previous two months.

Any reason my balls would be larger after sex-without-orgasm? (I’ll try again later). Any tricks to getting a recalcitrant ball thru (I was squeezing and rotating to the point of considerable discomfort) — does ice help? (I thought ice just caused them to retreat up into the body cavity)

If you decide to go with MM. the first thing to do is buy their sizing rings and try different ones for a couple of days before spending money on the device. that is the smart way to go. It is too expensive to guess.

Thanks, but that's what I'm doing -- I *have* the MM sizing rings. What I'm trying to figure out is why today I can't get my right testicle through the 45mm when I did a couple of months ago, and have been wearing a 45mm base ring since.

(I do realize that there are medical conditions that cause swollen testicles, but I don't have any other symptoms, and I had the 45mm base ring on this morning and it was comfortable -- only since taking it off for sex have I not been able to fit the testicle through the 45mm sizing ring. Just tried, and failed, again.)

It sounds like you're right in between. I can fit a 45 fairly well myself. But night time erections chafe and hurt like crazy. Personally I switched to a belt but I'm still searching for a high quality belt that fits my shape just right

I have a similar question, after being advised to go metal instead of the Vice I was going to buy, I have no idea about ring sizing. I've decided to order the Jailhouse cage, the sizing choices are 40mm, 45mm or 50mm, which is the most common, if any ?

wrap a piece of string around where the ring will be. measure that on a metric ruler, if you have one. 25.4 mm per inch

Definitely! (Or buy plastic sizing rings, cheap.) There's a fair bit of variation across bodies on this, you don't want "the most common" size.

You can also buy steel rings at most hardware stores and home centers. 2" (50mm) is pretty easy to find and probably 1 3/4" (44mm). You can also use rubber O-rings, available in hardware stores (but probably not home centers unless you buy a multi-pack of useless sizes).
