We have heard about problems with the security screw drivers stripping the little posts off. I have now discovered an easy out - 2 steel toothpicks (readily available on amazon and elsewhere) and a pair of pliers will help you out. Unfortunately, this also means that the lock is all but useless.
Do you know what the diameter of the security screw is, and how many threads per inch it has? Maybe it could be converted for use with my proprietary security screw and key.
Which device do you have? In the meantime I'm going to run a test and see if there's enough metal in a threaded M3 hole for me to drill it wider, then tap it with a # 8 size hole at 32 threads per inch, for use with my proprietary security screw.
I feel there's enough material in the base rings lock-post for me to drill it wider and re-thread it for use with one of my proprietary screws.
