    I believe that the ClubFEM group has a Connecticut chapter. I think they are still trying to get it off the ground, and while don't know where you are in Connecticut, if you were so inclined you could very well (one assumes with helpers) create more of a local area community while also sidestepping a lot of the "online-only, me-focused" stuff you seemed to be having a problem with.

    Well, I certainly hope so, at least!
