I think it would be easiest to educate children that cages are normal for men. For boys from a certain age (puberty) the cage should be mandatory 24/7 until they reach the age of 18. Who manages the key until then depends on the situation.

This would solve the problem of carrying the cage alone at home. There would not have to be a changeover, since carrying was already possible 24/7 for years anyway. Also, handing the key over to the girlfriend would lead to a better sexual relationship, since men could only discover their sexuality with someone else.

For adults, the integration of the cage into the job would be possible. Compulsory wearing of the cage would be feasible, since one actually always works with women. Most of all in the office. Though not mainstream, male chastity is far more widespread and known than it was even just 2 years ago and that trend is continuing. It also fits somewhat with a broader shift of power to Women. But right now its still seems to be (or is perceived to be) a kink initiated by men to fulfill their own fetish. Until that changes I don't see it being normalized in a notable way. Becoming mainstream to the level basic BDSM (handcuffs, blindfolds, etc) is now - maybe. But even at that level, its still something very hush hush outside of certain circles.

But over the past few years I've noted more sites like Evolving Your Man written be Women to an extent for Women. While they have sexual undercurrent, they're a lot more realistic and focused on chastity benefits in real relationships and especially benefits for Women. If those narratives can get into the mainstream then maybe we could start talking about normalization.

Ironically I think the biggest recent step towards mainstream has been the Cellmate hack.
