If you considering longer term lockup, look into the Jailbird by Mature Metal. Order the sizing rings first.
My wife and I do feel the smaller tube is better. We did try the Mature Metal route, and I ordered the sizing rings, but they never seems to fit properly and did cause pain. I have not had this problem so far with the HolyTrainer, except that we ordered the tube too big for me, small is just too big. We were going to order the nano but after talking with Holytrainer staff about it, and my situation, we rather wait to see the new tube.
The plastic sizing rings are uncomfortable.. I was only able to wear them for a few hours. The actual metals rings are very comfortable, however. Sounds like the HT works for you.
I actually got both set the plastic and the metal test ring just in case. But after talking with them and telling them about my rather small size, she mentioned that a turtling effect could happen and I could slip out. This seems to be better with the HT. While I could also resolve it with getting a piercing either a PA, or i saw one where a piercing is done below the head.
