A recent headline from the olympic games is from the German gymnastic team that created a new uniform to combat sexualizing the sport. Does anyone else think that their new uniforms are more sexually provocative or less? It seems like it is more from my perspective.

I can see what they are trying to achieve, and to the most they won’t be as sexual, but I prefer a catsuit to a leotard to.

I can't see why a full body suit is more sexualised than the crotch hugging suits they usually wear.

1912 olympic swimmers. What's changed? It's the viewer that sexualises it in their head, It's not the wearer, who wants a close fit to move freely. It's a bit like the legal defence "Well she was wearing a very short skirt and a low cut top". All blown up by the media that insists on sexualising everything. We all do it, what's important is how we express it to those around us, or not

I agree that athlete should pick what makes them feel most comfortable doing their sport. A bit more coverage might make them less self conscious and more focused on their sport.
