If everything is clean and you aren't experiencing discomfort or odours then there really is no need to remove it. Hygiene very much depends on the style of cage. The open style design of the one you mentioned wont actually need to be removed if you take care to clean properly. If you are experiencing odour similar to that of a male public toilet, itching or burning caused by fungal infection , chaffing or a build up of grime, dead cellular matter or precum then you will definitely need to remove and clean.
I had a look at the device you're using, looks great, open and easy to clean. How do you get the base ring over your scrotum? Looks like a closed loop.
