Getting Permalocked on Friday

Just remember that when dealing with locks and screws/clips etc there are always tools that will quickly overcome them. In our situation due to the miniaturization of the devices (as in we aren't talking about a bank vault here) the actual security is minimal. Even the dreaded C clip can be quickly defeated. I have a few RC vehicles that employ C clips in tough to reach places and I just use this:
It easily slides in over the c clip and allows you to remove the clip in the direction it went in.

 

Yikes! I stand corrected! And a little bit embarrassed, because when I look at it, it's kinda obvious. Doah!

the true goal of most of these things is to make a barrier to well...that in a quick fashion. Going from a 2 second thinking to acting event to a half hour process is likely what your going to get out of most of these things. even the oversimplified access denied screw lock if you think about the settings this would be used in are a fairly difficult process to bypass as well, your not going to have a toolbox sitting nearby.
