Found a collectable coin in the cash drawer at work!

    I found this in the cash drawer in the store I work at. These were only minted for a single year in 1976 and are becoming more scarce every year.

    It’s in surprisingly excellent condition, so I’m going to put it in a capsule and add it to my collection. :+1:

    Even though its in circulation putting it aside now might bring some dollars to our grand kids..
    Those and wheaties I put aside every time I find them.

    Definitely save those wheat pennies! Alot of people don’t know it, but depending on year and condition, a wheat penny is typically worth between 5 cents and 50 cents.

    Bicentennial Quarters aren’t yet worth anything beyond 25 cents, unless you have a mint error or a specially graded coin.

    Yeah back in 76 I collected all denominations from the bank that where minted that year .still have them somewhere.
    lawn mowing and snow shoveling for people then getting my parents to take me to the bank.

    They minted 1.6 billion of those quarters. Gonna be a while before they are worth anything more than 25 cent unless you can find a mis-mint or the ultra rare 40 percent silver ones.

    I actually have an encapsuled 40% silver one that was never taken out so it's still new in the plastic. It was gifted to me by my father and so it will permanently be part of my personal collection. :+1:
