I wholeheartedly agree. This blocking behaviour is essentially the cause of the modern snowflake personality, who usually take extreme, untenable or indoctrinated positions and stances, then go to pieces when challenged or even when not 100% agreed with, and run away to " a safe space "

They start a verbal conflict, then lose, and then switch from the aggressor into victim mode. They also lack responsibility and proportionality, eg not recognising the rights of others to held different views to themselves.

It seems to have started with the counselling movement issuing one size fits all solutions to unhappy people, became worse with self- help articles and books, then infected education, especially higher education.

Its promoted by 12- steps fanatical adherents now, to a vast degree in some cases. If they were animals, these people would have scorpion stings but tortoise bodies.

Note: I support people in recovery in principle, and those in therapy, but not the idea that someone being slightly upset legitimises a nasty attack, withdrawal, blocking and then jacking up their portable virtual firefighters extendible platform on which they then sit, next to sign they've made saying " This is The Moral High Ground Because I Say It Is"

I'm sort of with Mr Anon. I treat dominant women here as my superior, unless I get the "I'm not your KH" response, then that is how they identify, so I try to respect that. I treat my wife as superior to myself of course, but we still have a mostly vanilla life, just like everything else, and decide things together. I respect other ladies but think it wrong for me to treat them as a dominant if that is not how they identify. But also, in a very real sense, I am not beneath anyone.

It is real because it's practical and not some fantasy femdom island idea. To believe anyone is superior to another based on genetics or gender is foolish. How is a crackhead neglectful mother superior to a single father working 60 hours a week doing his best. To make blanket statements of superiority has proved dangerous in the past.

 

How many times have we heard "The fantasy is nothing like the reality" with respect to someone who enters chastity and their vanilla wife takes an interest in becoming their KH. Certainly so in my case. Not as kinky as I imagined, or perhaps hoped for if I'm honest, but more rewarding than I could ever imagined... And who cares about the kink. The second part of your comment I do agree with. However, in the same way that we suspend disbelief whilst watching a movie to immerse ourselves deeper, we can tell our own story to ourselves, which is real in a very physical sense. Privately or subtly done, it crosses no lines. Some, often those not in a real FLR relationship, are so obsessed that those lines can become blurred. Fewer are actually in a high-protocol full-time BDSM situation, where those lines are more permanently, but importantly consensual, blurred.

 

In reality a flr or any relationship has very boring aspects to it. It's not all crazy submissive sex 24/7 lol. In our case she wants me to be the traditional man when it makes her life easier and bend to her when it suits her. I'm still looked to for help in household decisions etc. The whole woman in charge of everything is largely fantasy in most real flr relationships I believe. She still needs help making decisions and dealing with day to day life stuff. Real life isn't some yes Goddess in leather all day everyday
