First Metal Cage?

no specific one. Tons of inexpensive Chinese metal cages. I thought mine fit well, my only issue was the metal was cheap and would bend. I currently have a BAWR cage. If you are looking for long term wear, my opinion would be to skip going with cheap metal cages and sticking with the Cherry Keeper until you have the funds to get a custom metal cage.

 

The first thing I’d say is are you circumcised? If not then in my opinion that cage needs to come off every couple of weeks so you can get that foreskin back for a good wash and clean, so moving to metal won’t let you stay locked any longer.

 

This was a cheap Chinese knock off and only problem (so far) is skin on skin tightness which is probably an issue also with the expensive original. My fault for agreeing to a small cage BUT we revert to an earlier ht which is fine so no real reason to stop play.

 

Same as you, I was looking for a metal cage…I purchased a cheap TERNENCE small off of AMA in a week ago. So far, it fits like a glove. I’ve worn it 24/7 for the last 5 days.

AsI’m only a few weeks in, I’m still in the process of determining best fit, and I intend to get a custom device in the future. But I’ve been very pleased with the $26 I spent on this one.

 

Well if the shoe fits... why get a custom fitting? I'm starting to fit into my cage from it bulging for a few months. My kh is not bothered about this change. She says it looks "pathetic" and seems to like this. Though she hasn't specifically said she wants it to shrink it, she's doesn't really care as she keeps it but doesn't allow it out and it doesn't affect her sex life.

 

I have a Ternence as well and I'm moderately pleased with it... The biggest issue I've found so far is that the smaller hinged base rings I've bought, trying to get the fit down to where it needs to be, need a little modification with a Dremel to get the locking insert to seat properly. Just not as good a quality management, I guess, to keep things consistent.

 

I'm locked in a MM Jailbird. it has fulfilled Jloves needs wonderfully.

 

I was going to say, why buy a cheap Chinese knockoff when Mature Metal isn’t super expensive. Yes they’re not cheap, but they’re members here, they’re part of our community and they actually support their products. Customer service to them is top notch.

So I’d say OP might want to reconsider and look into MM. They may be surprised at the benefits.

 

I couldn't agree more. The customer service is excellent. Their fitting guides are great and they will even consult with you about how to get the right fit to ensure comfort during long-term wear. I've been wearing a MM Watchful Mistress 24/7 for well over a year. It is by far the most comfortable cage I've had. I even fly domestically with it on all the time. TSA doesn't seem to care at all.

They can do modifications when and if needed by lifestyle changes. The only time my cage came off was when I was healing from my PA piercing, during which time MM did a custom modification to my cage to allow it to lock onto the PA jewelry.

 

I’ve researched MM a bit and am impressed. One of the reasons for ‘going cheap’ was to gauge my wife’s interest in pursuing a LT chastity arrangement. All signs are pointing to an enthusiastic ‘yes’. I’m asking Santa for a jailbird this Christmas…

 

There are several measurements that MM takes into account. I'm not familiar with the Cherry Keeper, but I would suggest that whatever cage you go with, you take the time to get proper measurements. That's the only way a cage will be comfortable for long-term wear.

MM offers a set of sizing rings that allow you to get the right measurements for both the internal dimensions of the cage and the size of the base ring. The instructions for measuring yourself with the sizing rings are quite clear.

What are your concerns about MM's lock options? They have a "standard" padlock as well as a more secure screw lock. What were you looking for?

 

I was very seriously looking into a metal cage by MM. Concern was getting the fit right first in attempt to reduce any adjustments to limit the costs. I emailed with them a few times and they were super responsive and helpful. Even bought the sizing rings from them.

I’m currently wearing a Cherry Keeper and really like how light weight it is. It was a price point that I could do a bit more trial and error with to get a good fit. Is it perfect? I don’t think so, but it is good enough for now. I think I could use the measurements from in, to get a good fit from MM, but now my concern would be the weight.

 

I have a Jail Bird, and I do not notice any weight. I am high and tight, so the device tends to stay where it should.

My keyholder has purchased a few different ones to try, but we keep going back to the Jailbird. Once she had me pierced, we added this locking ring. No escaping. Traume Aus web site. The weight of the Jailbird is negligible. One of the tips MM provided was to use some sort of baby oil as needed for lubrication.

 

I seem to keep downsizing, so I'm kind of glad that I didn't start with a super expensive custom cage.

 

Someone who is kinda helping me along the way with this being new. Told me when I go to metal to go shorter and wider. It helps with pull out and hiding underneath clothes

Been wearing a Queen's Keep ( just a Jailbird with a band at the bottom instead of a ring) for quite some time. Also have a Watchful Mistress. You can't go wrong with quality and sizing at MM if you strictly follow their sizing guidelines and buy the plastic rings to ensure the right ball ring. diameter. Measure over a week to get all the dimensions right. right. Advise you get the oval ring and the security screw too. Great people at MM, and very fair price.

 

why the screw over lock ?

 

The screw is less obtrusive than a padlock. I have a padlock, as my Queen prefers, but I can see where the security screws would be nice.

 

As Queen's consort said , it is less obtrusive, but the main reason is it sits flush do it does not have such a large profile to get in the way. Also, it does not swing around like a lock,.
