Fancy key or key storage, ideas anyone??

Not sure if this would be a solution, but it all depends on how showy you want to be ...or not. If the solution is to carry a key where hubby can't get at it or use it to unlock himself yet to be not too overtly showy, then just try googling GE Locking Stor-A-Key. Just pop the key in it, pop the box in your pocket/purse and you're good to go. You could go with the locket on a necklace and keep the digi code on a piece of paper in the locket....just incase you forgot the code....OOOpppps !!!!!!

 

Something I tried which works rather well is having the key fixed to a metal collar around his neck. Of course it needs to be on a short tether so it doesn't reach the device. I managed to pop it on the padlock which secured the collar. Of course then there's the dilemma of where to put the key to the collar.

Regarding the ice option, I use this approach with a written note frozen into the ice with the key. If the ice melts there's no way that the note can be put back in the same place as the original freeze, so a keyholder would know the ice had melted. It's perfect for being unattainable and available in an emergency at the same time!

 

Of course you can always hang your keys on the padlock hasp as this person managed to do, somehow....all three of them!

I'm sure there must be an explanation....................

 

This is me and the way I got the keys stuck is unfortunate lol. Cleaning the device i put the keys inside the lock, and whilst thinking of other things while i put it back on i still had the keys in there but didn't realize and closed the lock and then realized lol.

By the way anyone looking to get rid of the noise of the padlock bumping against the cage, I put a small bit of bluetack underneath the padlock and it sits there quietly now.

 

Also the phone had started ringing so I answered it just before closing the lock which was my biggest distraction.

 

And how did you manage to unlock the padlock????

 

Its a Chinese rip off cb6000 judging by the lock so it will either fall apart in a few weeks anyway or the key from just about any same sized chinese wolfdog padlock will open it with a small amount of giggling

 

ooh, you never ever gonna get it off now, giggle. Don't break it cos your Mistress will be ever so angry with you. You will just have to get a little saw and try to cut thro the lock and then buy another one.
What a big spacer you have got on.

 

I'm trying to imagine exactly how any amount of giggling would help..........the mind boggles.

 

If giggling didn't work Ma'am I would try jiggling the key instead

 

Lol unfortunately due to a hospital trip I had to take it off which is a shame as I was really enjoying it and so was the uploader of the pic. But I can easily get myself in the same situation again and am looking into getting a full belt so not all is lost I would honestly prefer being in a more secure situation like that as well makes it all the more permanent

Also the large spacer was due to the fact that I couldn't squeeze the device together with any of the other spacers =/ But I guess I will have to try again lol but with a smaller one, another predicament lol.
