    Hi Everyone,

Finally received my custom titanium BA-05, here is my quick review:

    Ordering:

I placed my order 10th October, 2023 on Etsy. The order shipped on Dec 26, 2023 and I received it 3 days later! it took just under 12 weeks, it has been worth the wait but if I was ordering again I would possibly pay for the expedited option as they take priority and from the etsy reviews people are getting those in 2-4 weeks.

I knew virtually every specification and measurement I wanted even down to the bar diameters so I provided this right at the start to try and streamline the process. I had a very comfortable cheap plastic Chinese device I wanted to try and emulate with a few minor size changes. He couldn't do the smaller ball gap I wanted without adding the extra ring which I initially didn't want to do but it works really well and doesn't add much weight.

I found the communication a bit hit and miss, to start with it was very quick but at some points it would take a few days and I would have to re prompt which was a bit frustrating at times as I just wanted to get the build spec dialled in. Once he has all the information the comms just go dead until the device turns up at your door which I found a little strange, it would be good to have the odd update or build photo but I guess he is busy and his priority is getting them out of the door. But to his credit he remembered and did everything I had asked for.

    Shipping:

I was amazed how quick this was via fedex, by the time it was collected in China on the 27th it was with me less than 48 hours later!!

    The Device:

I went for the BA-05 for the same reasons as the other recent review, I wanted a fairly enclosed device that also had space for easy cleaning. I had the end customised so rather than the two bars for an opening it is a square shape. I wanted the titanium to keep it as light as possible, I really dislike the heavy stainless steel cheap devices I have tried previously and it doesn't disappoint, it is so light.

I wanted the device to be anodised in a blue/purple colour, I went for 18v but it has come out a little more copper/bronze looking than I would have ideally liked, I should have gone for 20-22v I may look in to re anodising it myself. But the colour is growing on me.

I wend for the internal magic type lock and the lock it came with seems a decent quality its better than those cheap locks you get with other devices.

    Final Verdict:

I absolutely love it, it is a thing of beauty and fits like a glove, its everything I hoped for.

If you are considering a custom BAW device as long as you know the specs and measurements you want, do it you wont be disappointed.

Please see the photos they also show the device I was trying to replicate:

Any questions please feel free to ask :)

Looks great, thanks for the review.

Is the small rubber spacers included, or did you add them yourself?

They are included and you get a spare set, however I don't feel they really do that much so I may just leave them off in future, I will have to try with and without.

Yeah that's about right, not cheap but well worth the money, its vital you know your measurements 100% though or it would be very easy to waste that $400, I would suggest getting a load of cheap cages from Ali Express first to see what you like/don't like and what fits well. Then go from there when you have a good idea of your measurements. I believe he also offers a resin cage sizing service so that might be worthwhile if you are unsure.

    Agree!!

I have wasted 2x $400 on great, great cages that did not fit me. I am not waiting on my third resin test cage, that I expect to be the perfect size. Then I will order my 'final' cage.

But really consider the resin test cages.

The lock you got is his own version of burg watcher correct? Burg is brass. Any idea what his is? How is the key?

Yeah it seems good quality I have an official Burg and its not quite the same his is silver, the key is more like the cheaper Chinese ones but its unique among all the locks/keys I have so thats a plus.

And, it is fully compatible with the official Burg-Wachter lock, so if the BAW lock becomes bad, you can swap it out for a Burg-Wachter

Yes, I only use Burg-Wachter with my BAW cages. As my wife has a key from chastity-shop.com

I am confused a bit- the standard silver barrel lock BAW uses is not compatible with a Burg W barrel lock. They are very different in size...

They have two barrel lock options one larger and one burg w size, i went for the burg size and my burg lock does fit fine. The lock they supply with it is a decent quality silver burg type lock, not suree what its made from

I would say its nearly as good as the Burg, not sure what its made of though, its silver and non magnetic, appears solid and not plated/coated, nice smooth action, nothing written on the key. Its 1g lighter than the Burg 3g vs 4g.

After a week of wearing it I am very happy with it, it is so comfortable and I have not found any negatives yet so its looking good.

I got permission to unlock for a few hours and try re-anodizing it to the colour I wanted, I couldn't get the vibrant purple I really wanted like my photoshopped profile pic but its a huge improvement over the original colour, its hard to capture the colour on camera, it looks much more purple IRL and it changes a lot depending on the light..

What solution did you use for the anodizing? Looks absolutely great!

Just bicarbonate soda, titanium wire to hold the piece and aluminium foil for the cathode, 21.5v job done, did a lot of research but it was easier than I thought.
