    Tried several time tro log in to CM but it just kept timing out
    anyone know what if anything was amiss?

    or was it just happening to me?

    I've been trying to login since Wednesday and the site didn't load at all. The message I received said something to the effect that the URL refused my request. Happy to see that everything seems to be working tonight!

    It was down for me for a few days.

    It was a DNS issue (I ran some checks), some of you were still able to connect via what was in your router cache. I wasn't able to connect for a few days.

    Basically the name chastitymansion.com URL did not point to an actual server, in fact it did not point anywhere. There was nothing actually wrong with the server, just your browser just didint know where to find it.

    If you click this link https://www.whatsmydns.net/#A/www.chastitymansion.com it will show you the global DNS propagation for the mansion. A few days ago instead of all green ticks it was all red crosses with no server I/P. Now it looks very healthy :)

    Its pretty easy to side step DNS probelms if you know what the server I/P which I have never bothered to look at. You can edit your hosts file in your system folder to make the URL point at the server I/P and it would have worked (if you knew what it is).

    Some people would not have even realize there was an issue...

    Yeah i was able to get on via tor. But a regular browser was a no go.

    Wasn't a maintenance issue...well sorta kinda but not one that is due to server load. Someone probably not Lucy was messing with the DNS cluster settings at a server level. The nameservers are usually managed by the host provider and not the web site owner, unless you self host but you have to have a very good understanding of the internet to self host.

    Stuffing up these settings is pretty easy to do, although pretty easy to fix too so surprised it was down for as long as it was.I did send Lucy a email as an offer to help but I didn't get a reply. Although it would require full access probably not something one would want to give to someone you don't know lol.

    As CM has a twitter account I humbly request that, should a similar outage occur, Miss Lucy or an admin post a tweet to it announcing the outage and ETA of resumption of service (should that info be available. Thanks.

    That's the one @BR_Saiph :)

    It's a handy fall-back that was started by @latexbound some years ago when problems were more prevalent.

    Fortunately it is a real rarity for the site to go down, as I am sure everyone is well aware.

    As Will, whose baptism and memorial anniversary is this week, wrote, "All's Well That Ends Well" ;)

    Fortunately @L-u-c-y nipped The Tempest in the bud and the site is back on an even keel, hopefully for a long time to come. :)
