I have a jailbird cage made in USA , but before buying it for over $400 Canadian, I bought 3 different gages from DH gates. they were metal and they left much to be desired . I had to grind a sharp edge off of one , they all either rusted or the chrome plating started peeling in about a month . That was ok with me because the jaibird was the one i chose . It was easy to place my order with the real pros who sell them, I had my jailbird knock off to measure and therefore send the measurements to the new builder . I chose one with a padlock. I notice a lot of replacement padlocks you can open with any flat pointed thing that fits into the outer key slot . I shopped around trying several before finding one that couldn't be opened without a key ..
