Hi all, I know that in the BDSM world CBT means Cock & Balls Torture but I see CBT everyday where I work, I mean Computer Base Training... kind of weird talking about CBT at work! Do you have any expirience like that at work? :happy0011: -Cherry
Well, there's PVC clothing...which is lots of fun And when my husband does any plumbing in the house he uses PVC pipe. I always giggle when I see those words stamped on it.
LOL.. The PVC plumbing pipe and PVC clothing are the same thing Goddess Jen! The PVC pipe should be properly called uPVC, and the u stands for Unplasticised. It's the same thing, but they don't use plasticisers, which means it goes hard when it sets rather than remaining flexible like the clothing. as for CBT, I can't think of any other acronyms I know that end up as CBT off the top of my head.. Sorry to disappoint.
When my best friend told me she was going on a CBT course I thought "wow, suddenly something to talk about"... turns out she meant Cognitive Behavioural Therapy!
lol.. ya, once a computer vendor (a tall lanky Domme looking one, wearing lots of black and high heels no less) was giving us a presentation on their products. I kid you not... the dialog went like this: Coworker: What kind of training could we get from you? Dommeish looking vendor: I would recommend you start with some CBT and then we could discuss custom training Mike: *blots spilt diet coke off shirt*
Well I had therapy and was taught about CBT, cognitive behavioural therapy. It still makes me giggle.
At my last job, we also had Computer Based Training. The room was labeled CBT room on the door. No one ever quite figured out the big grin on my face every time I went by or in there.
Lets see in my past line of work there was: Certified Ballistics Technician Certified Behavioral Technician (this was the person who woudl perform behavioral analysis interviews) I had six weeks of training by a FBI agent once Cancelled Backorder Terms The funny thing was I never even knew what CBT was in terms of the BDSM community so I had no point of reference till much later. Looking back I had so many CBT things in my life it is funny. Of course it was really funny when working as an inventory specialist and your manager tells you to file for a Cancelled backorder term by only saying CBT and you are sitting there thinking, shit you mean we have ammunition in this place. LOL
I found this always quite funny seeing such abbrevations like CBT or TV (here for television) and knowing what it means in the transgender or bdsm community. The same applies when i drive behind a car and looking at the registration plate seeing combinations like CP or CB i wonder if it is just by random or whether it is a hidden message ... like mine SI551 *giggle* Every time i see such an abbrevation at work or in ordinary life i feel a bit like belonging to a "gang" that uses a secret language ... a bit like cockney, not rhyming, though, but funny and exciting ... LOL Hugs, maid katrin
