Started off with a CB6000s (generic knock-off), but the base rings aren't solid and the groove rubs my sack raw. I had been wearing a plaster (bandaid) to prevent this. Can't find replacement solid rings anywhere. I was thinking of wrapping the rings in electrical tape or maybe trying to fill the grooves in with resin. Any other ideas?

Personally, I would get a better device. The way I look at it is, I don't mind making a couple hundred for something custom if it is getting wrapped around my "manhood" all day. It is like buying a good pair of shoes...

We tried a Cobra imitation and the sack was comfy as can be. Unfortunately lining up my opening to pee was a chore, prodding and poking my poor fella with a cotton bud (q-tip) every time to align him with one of the gaps in the bars. We're early days atm and buying cheap ones to see what works. Will eventually spend on a good quality device for the long term (i'm inclined toward a vice tbh).

I personally wouldn't go with The Vice. If you want to stay with non-metal, I would look at the Holy Trainers... the last one they came out with is really nice from what people have said... but it is made of BioResin.

If you are looking at metal, I would go with a Mature Metal "Jail Bird" Model with a security screw...

If you are looking for something more affordable, I would go with The Cherry Keeper

If you are spending the large majority of the year wearing it, it is NOT silly to spend a lot of these things. AND the underwear for them to help support the comfort, lol.

Thanks will have a look at these. Main challenge I have is one of my balls is very small and slips so I need a cage with a small gap.

We're going to try filling the grooves with resin. Also ordered a strap to wear at night to prevent pulling.

I had a CB series device, had the same problems as you are. I also tried filling in the gap, but... It made no difference; The main problem, IMO, is the actual plastic they use. The largest ring was also too small.

I ended up buying a cheap chinese device, and other than slight pinching in one area, it's been pretty comfortable.

I would not suggest filling up the groove of cb6k ring with resin or any other material. You might buy a compatible steel ring as someone else has suggested elsewhere. Some individuals may have adverse reaction towards the resin chemical and scrotum skin exudes all types of salt and reactive compound. You can try but upon the first tell tale sign that is itchiness if occurs, you just have to stop. Ahh.. the never ending quest for a perfect fit. Thats the fun of chastity.

Resin/epoxy. I had the same issue when we started. Fit was 100% better after filling ring in. I have since abandoned the cb style in favor of metal and a resin cage that both are more open and easier to keep clean without removing as often as the cb

Knock-off rings are terrible. Maybe to wear for few hours, to check size (sill may differ in shape so not perfect but something), not for long term wear.

Original ones have solid filled rings, that work way better.
(Also different devices have different designs, e.g. Holy Trainer works completely different, but if you like CB brand, then for long term wear go for original)

Yes we're going to try filling with resin, KH actually already has some for his crafts hobby. Don't mind the closed style cage, I can clean daily with a cotton bud (q-tip). He lets me out a couple of times a week for a good thorough clean or as he has said 'to make sure you're taking good care of my property'.

Update, the ring has been filled with resin. Gave it a good sanding first and the resin filling is rounded/domed for comfort. Seems to have worked treat.
