I have a cloned cobra .. being the latest and currently worn model. fortunately i got a cloned version..its good in a way i could test it out to see if im suitable for it... it seems no after approximately 2 months.. i have written else where i developed skin irritation and itchiness... others have testified it could be due to the resin material itself and it being dyed in black ink...further more i read somewhere that resin is micro-pourous... leading to its ultra light weight. im still a cheapskate..unwilling to splurge dearly on a sex toy...until and unless it is without any further problems for long term, comfortable, safe daily wear.
I had the exact same problem with the resin molded cages! I thought it was just me, but the skin irritation and itchiness led to swelling surface areas and I had to change back to metal. Interesting thought about the dye... I thought it might have been fiberglass content or something.

I bought a 2nd Chinese Cobra, the smaller version with curved ring. It just arrived and have just fitted it ... They are very comfortable... I've also bought a Kink3D 'N', still waiting for it to arrive .. The Chinese design and sizing are great, it's just that they fall apart... I'm thinking maybe trying the Chinese Stainless Steel Cobra, it looks the same design? Have a feeling it maybe hollow tube construction though? Still get them for about $50
Yes steel type would be an option.. which i may revert to.. only disadvantage is the weight.. i feel it bearing down and once i get sweaty, it might slip off. Plastic/resin has some natural stickiness.
Our favorite cage is my new one it is a three piece base ring center piece that has built in PA and finally the cover with rest of lock very comfortable and secure.
It likely was either due to the dye use or whatever chemical coating/material they used to create it. An allergic reaction to the dye is common though infrequent. However, depending on the clone you got I would be surprised if they were using legit Nylon PA12 with the same dye and likely some cheaper material with worse chemicals. I largely use the same process for my Evo as the Cobra and the only reactions to it are because of the dye. It is why I have started offering an undyed version as the material itself is certified to be biocompatible and is often used in medical devices because of its bio and mechanical properties. It isn't a resin and is actually created from a powder; which, during the printing and finishing process is made to be water tight so it shouldn't be porous at all.
