Ah yes. Thanks for adding that. Totally makes sense that would be their (and your) reaction.

Actually, thinking about this now, I've actually questioned why I would want to engage in chastity. I was unlocked at the time and was quite unwell for a year or so and had very little interest in anything.

It sounds like you handled it perfectly. Well except for sharing personal stuff with a coworker and expecting it to stay between you two.

I had a coworker who I didn’t particularly care for. He found out that I had “dated” my first Domme. Thankfully he didn’t know it was a BDSM relationship. Anyway he made comments about how lucky I was to no longer be with her as she was quite the freak and I to hard core BDSM.

Like you, I deflected and left as soon as I could get the conversation to change. It was never mentioned again and I’m grateful for that.

My suggestion is be careful what you share and Who you share It with. Being out is one thing but having everyone at work or in the neighborhood know your business isn’t always a good thing.

When I was teaching I’d occasionally get students ask why I did t talk about my relationships. I’d bluntly tell them because it’s none of their business and because I’m a professional and I keep my work and personal life separate. And that’s generally true!

Totally agree with you, I don’t normally mix my personal and work life, and as I said I was definitely caught off guard when I was asked about chastity!
