The generally accepted view seems to be that no chastity device is escape proof, unless used with a piercing. And while I agree with this in theory, the reality for me is different, since getting a device that fits well. If the gap between the base ring and the tube is smaller than the balls, I can't get out. And as my balls seem to be on the large side, a "normal" cage with a 2 inch base ring and standard gap to the tube means that even when all soaped up in the shower I can't get out, which suits me just fine. I'm interested to hear others experiences with this.

My husband is like this as well (he too is a grower). In the shower he can get his penis out and back in without a problem, but the only way for him to get it all the way off is to have the key. I have tight balls and they were painfully pulling out through the space between the ring (40mm) and cage. I got a smaller base ring (38mm) now it is very tight and stays put. 2mm is a big difference.Not sure if I could get my dick out if I tried.
The urethral insert in the picture linked below makes for considerably greater security because, even when you have pulled back out of the cage, there is still a considerable length of rigid tube inside you. The only way to get it out would be to cut the tubing which would take a bit of explaining to the OH. yeah, i can pull out the shaft but there is no humanly possible way to get balls through the gap. I've always been a little flabbergasted at how some guys get their balls out. it just doesn't make sense to me when thinking about proportions
1.75 is length of the tube and I am reasonably scrunched up. It hasn't come off for 6 weeks and is perfectly comfortable. A good soft brush and if I am really to get into nooks and crannies I pull out and wash everything then tuck back in (which I avoid cause I get too tempted to do more than I should) . If I go any smaller on the base ring I get serious pain. I only have about a quarter inch diameter difference between the tube and basering which is why I don't understand how some guys can slip their balls between the basering and tube.
As some others have said a small base ring to cage gap is the secret. I do wonder how some people get out of cages that if they are the right size and gaps . Xx Wendy
Were you looking at the one I linked to? If so, it's 180mm long though I have made several similar ones that are slightly longer and shorter and with different diameters and end-shapes in an attempt to make peeing through an easier task (with not much luck so far). Because of the flutter problem I have not worn it for long periods but I found it no problem to move around all day including some quite physical work - it just gives the occasional sensation deep inside that reminds me it's there.
I have to had any ball slipping problems with the cb3000 yet it has smaller ought rings . The ht2 even with the 36mm ring my balls would slip all the time. My problem is that I have tiny balls and I'm also a grower . With little effort I could pull the HTC off completely. So far the CB with the second to the smallest ring is inescapable there is no way I could pull out .

Security was the thing I was aiming for when doing these experiments. It would be even more secure I think if the first tube were rigidly fixed to the tip of the cage and curved so the first flex point was low down near the back of the cage. This would make any attempt to untread the remaining tube out of the urethra even more difficult. Having been into urethral soundings on and off for a long time the sensations are quite pleasurable to me and certainly act as a frequent reminder of the situation. Although we are only into short-term use the idea that the cage really is secure certainly adds to the experience.
I just received my Mature Metal Jail Bird and don't see how it is at all possible to escape, either balls or shaft. Previous off-the-shelf cage was a stainless Spiral by UberKinky as part of my exploratory process down this road - tolerances we're rather loose on the Spiral and a few times I had my left ball slip thru and have pretty sure I could have slipped my shaft out if soft and really tried. Ordered the Jail Bird w/ the tightest 1/4" gap, cage i.d. of 1-3/8" w/ a ring i.d. of 1-3/4", along with a double base ring. The tolerance of this cage is magnificent - It fits like a glove and don't think I could escape any part of me no matter how hard I try; it was also very comfortable right out of the gate - not even 48 hrs with the Jail Bird yet but very confident we sized this just about right.
