I agree the hostess should be asked what the punishment should be. I bet you'd struggle to look her in the eyes afterwards, knowing that she knows what you've been through for being rude. That also takes the pressure off your wife.
I think its a good lesson for you. You need to listen more to what the women in your life are saying or asking of you. Your wife comes first, but all women are important.

You might at least have considered apologising to the other lady the very next day. This would not force your FLR dynamic upon her like asking her for punishment would, but at the same time a humbling apology to her will hint at your inferior status to her.
I have been conditioned to treat all women as my superior, but only my Mistress as the queen of my life. I must provide service to any woman who needs it!
