You should be able to slip a soapy finger between the ring and your ball sac. It has to be tight but not too tight.

 

I had a new one fitted in August and it was smaller than the last.
We waited for a day. Checking that my scrotum didn't darken or become cool to the touch.
At the end of the day it was still flesh color and normal body temperature so its stayed on.
It was quite uncomfortable for a few weeks. it felt tight and a bit like it was burning where there was folds in the skin under the ring.
I used lots of E45 cream on it everyday and adjusted the skin under the ring which helped ease the burning sensation.
Now it's just fine.
Having a smaller ring is actually better once youre used to it.
I think because it's less metal there between my legs.
And it feels nicer walking around when go commando because it's more bobbley.

 

For what it’s worth, I started with a 40mm ring(metal cage) that did fit but after wearing it for several hours caused distracting discomfort and eventually friction sores on my scrotum. I purchased another cage with four rings ranging in size from 38 to 52 mm. All fit but the larger too were just loose enough that I was afraid they might slip off. I had previously purchased an elastic chastity belt off of Amazon and discovered it helped the larger rings stay on for as long as I wanted with occasional discomfort, mainly due to the fact that the scrotum shifts on its own( nothing painful or distracting), so I ordered 2 50 mm rings for my metal cages and another elastic belt. The first one attaches at two points, the new one at three, and had a successful 13 day lock up until I got sick and took it off, and have since been locked now for 29 days and counting. I wear the 3 point belt during the day and the 2 point belt overnight. Hope that helps.

 

My guideline is the smallest possible ring that you can wear while erect. Regardsless of how small you force it, you can slip out regardsless. Go for comfort, even when attempting to get hard.

 

You want your balls to be absolutely trapped with hardly any sliding of scrotum through ring. Your balls should be available for punishment but unable to move and increase the tightness of the cages' hold. It should be comfortable enough to wear long term but your comfort isn't the foremost goal, it's getting you securely trapped and an arousing spectacle for your mistress with balls presented forward and together as a target for her. So yes small as is comfortable.

 

As small as you can go and still comfortably wear it and not have it cause issues or cut circulation.

While I still try get accustomed to my rings and cage, it all depends on time of day and temperature at to where my sack sits, I can use a smaller ring but when my testicles get cold they pull up and it seems they block the blood flow causing me to go to a larger ring - having said this maybe a larger spacer is an option - I did not realize that winters may not be the best time to start this process

Hi, ive got very limited experience with wearing chastity cages, But away back in november last year i tried wearing a cage that had different sized rings included , tried wearing a 49 mm base ring for about 5-6 hours then took it off , first time wearing a cage and wasnt sure about wearing it overnight, Anyway that base ring broke and i had to wear the next size down which was a 46 mm ring . To cut a long story short i panicked , wasnt sure if i was cutting off circulation or not im very dark coloured down there anyway , was hearing there is really bad consequences if you do cut off circulation , irreversible damage , atrophy, necrosis, toxins, so binned the device and not worn one since, still sub to my wife and her sister , and starting to get the urge to wear a cage again so who knows what the future holds Lol

 

When you are testing rings and cages out I would never wear them over night until I had made sure everything was ok for at least a few days first!

 

The cock cage can and absolutely should be comfortable for long term use. Of course it is a restrictive device, but there should be no pain.

Soap up, or lube up (either will work) your index finger and insert it between your ring and your balls. If you can get past the first knuckle, the ring is too big. If you can't get to the first knuckle, the ring is too small. You should be able to go to the first knuckle and no further for the right size ring.

Also, don't wear your ring overnight until you're sure beyond all doubt you have the right size. If you chafe easily or notice a discoloration followed by a numbness or coldness in your balls, then take the ring off immediately, because the blood flow is getting cut off. The correct size ring will not do this to you.

I know this, because I was experimenting on myself a couple months back with a much smaller ring size. I have a high tolerance to pain, but I saw my balls got dark and were cold to the touch and that prompted me to remove the ring right away. It's a good thing I did, because upon removing the ring, I could feel fresh blood just pouring into my sack and everything felt much better within seconds. I waited 10 minutes before putting my current ring back on. I've been using my current ring size since then and all is well.

On a side note, if you're worried about accidentally pulling out of your cage, then look into an anti-pullout accessory for your cage. It's self-explanatory. There are also elastic chastity straps you can attach to your ring to hold it closer to your body and make it less likely you'll slip out of your ring.

 

Don't forget that it can be ball gap which matters more than ring size. I'm in a cherry keeper at the moment which allows a lot of variations. Being able to go up on ring size has been great. No more pinchy agony and worries about blood circulation. With a bit more negative angle on how the cage sits on the ring, in actually more secure.

 

It needs to be tight enough that you can feel every hair folicle in your scalp pulsing with each and ever heartbeat.

 

I had a similar experience with a CB 6000s copy, Ended up plastic welding it together with steel reinforcements and enlarged to be able to continue. Worked out that I needed a 52mm or larger to accommodate.

Large gap but as I have fairly large testicles and they sit quite high this was needed to be comfortable. Could do with a bit larger cage but cage size is not as important as the cock will compress into a small cage but testicle strangulation can be a concern.

thanks for the replies porn addict and curios40ish , wasnt so much cage size that bothered me , was the fact I had to move from a 49 to a 46 mm base ring when the 49 mm broke , amd wasnt sure if the 46mm one was cutting off circulation , stangling my testicles , dont want permanent damage. other problem I has was when I started to get a erection the cage would slide right up and come right off the two side / guide pins , And the cage would then just be hanging there off the pins, loose, and not secured to me anymore, This happened even with the middle securing post on and padlocked into place, couldnt get the thing to stay on me .

i don't know the sizes.
i'm no longer the one who buys them.
i do know that 4 years ago. (The last time I bought one) It had a 45mm ring.
i guess this latest one is less than 40mm.

i was surprised when the last one came off. it looked like there was still a ring there because that "neck" part is quite narrow now also the skin under where the ring sits is a different colour and texture.
