Why must one shower supervised lol. My cage is open so it comes off once a week to shower and clean. When she wants it off. In end it's a symbol though. It comes down to willpower and self control. Nothing stops you from getting key and doing your thing. Without self control it's an useless accessory attached to your dick.

 

It's not useless even if it is easy to defeat. It's a stimulating sex toy, and so it increases sexual arousal, at the very least.

Not having a spare key in emergency is plain unsafe. Is your self control that lacking?

 

You could put a spare key inside a sealed breakable container, so it is obvious to your keyholder if you've cheated.

Is my self-control lacking? Yes. If it weren't I wouldn't need the device to begin with.

 

I'd definitely keep a spare key however you're allowed or decide to. It's just being safety conscious.

 

At this point I am out of the belt twice a month for an appointment. The duration is about 8 hrs. Other than that the belt stays locked. I have my keys the use of them is within the agreement my Queen and I have. After 2.5 years of wearing a belt it is my normal.

 

I think it makes sense to keep a safety key, although i once did 24h without any key (keyolder lived away from where I lived). That was a total mindfuck. Having said that, I could have always (perhaps) broken the device carefully as it is hard 3D printed resin.

Usually I use a timer safe (ksafe) that counts down. In a dire emergency I could smash the timer safe to get the keys. The device costs about $80, so I have a sufficient deterent not to, but still allows a last resort escape option should a hospital trip, or flight, or something be needed.

IMHO the neatest solution is this (see pic). It is a key cover/enclosure with a plastic numbered lock that can be broken open. You could carry it in your pocket. Now, in emergency, breaking the plastic numbered lock would allow you to unlock quickly, however the keyholder would know, and you'd have some explaining to do.

(Obviously these numbered plastic locks can also be used in the chastity device itself. To me it feels better having the two separate, and it also allows your keyholder to physically hold a key. It also doesn't get you into the habit of breaking numbered plastic locks to get out. IMHO the numbered plastic lock should never be broken - the safety is just for emergency.)

 

I know where keys are home, she doesn't hide them. One stays in glovebox in a signed sealed envelope. I'm only locked 10/12 days longest so not long enough I've ever even considered cheating. 6 months a year something I'd never agree to start with it.

 

I think it's all subjective to the people involved but our situation is 24/7 with 2x a week unlocks for cleaning in the shower, then back to locked. Usually Wednesday & Saturday or if I know she's going to make use of me.

The rest is up to her for when she wants to use her toy. That's generally every 10-14 days and then I'll be unlocked until she tells me that time is up. If we have sex on a Friday usually I'll be unlocked until Sunday morning/afternoon so she has easy access if/when she wants it.

I've reflected on this question, 'What is 24/7?' The CLUE is in the name - '24/7' means that you are locked 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you're taking it off for sleep, sex, a wank, or having a morning unlocked, then it's not 24/7.

 

I feel this is being way overthought lol. Why does a definition really matter? Do what works for you and your kh if ones involved. Not everything in life needs some strict definition.

 

I think you’re over thinking it. There are no rules here. It’s just a phrase… a phrase that confuses matters only when you’re considering someone else’s story.

For sure. I think if you're unlocked with your keyholder present, that's kind of 24/7 too.

For me it's not 24/7 if you unlock YOURSELF when YOU feel like it.

 

Locked 24/7:

• Only released for occasional hygiene, grooming & play but then locked right back up; normally that's no more than once a week and translates into being locked 99.5% of the time or more
• My wife holds the key: if I have access to it, I'm not really "locked"

 

IMHO When we started out I would ask for the key everytime I needed to wash. She soon tired of that. It lives on a nappy pin hanging on a lamp on her beside table. I am really locked. Sometimes if I leave it in the bathroom as she reaches it I'm really locked for longer. I value the sanctity of the cage as much as I do our marriage.

And that is what it boils down to for me. Whether you have a PA, tether, full belt whatever... Cheating destroys everything you are working towards. What's the point of cheating unless it wasn't your choice in the first place, and bratty is your thing.

So having access to the key doesn't equal misuse and I do think I'm as locked as anyone else.

 

Which translates to "not 24/7", lol.

0.5% of a week is ~50 minutes cage free. Almost an hour every week.

Or, put another way, it's 100% NOT 24/7.

Why do so many people find such basic things so damn hard, lol.

If I am in my cage at midnight on Monday morning then out for 59 secs to clean at 00:01 Tuesday then for 59 secs at 00:02 on Wednesday and so on.....
