It matters to some of us for psychological reasons, and might provide useful or inspiring perspectives for some of our partners: there's something cool about belonging to a quiet sexual revolution.

However, it really matters because we're drifting into a society with a lot of intrusive body scanners, that's also hypersensitive to sexual transgressions. In this context, it would be good to be a sexual or gender minority, rather than a few isolated perverts. And that requires numbers.

This is pre-internet boom, so 2% seems like a good lower limit for doing kink.

Assume around half are submissive or submit sometimes, then that gives you 1% of men are at least part-time malesubs.

I think it's kind of infectious. I think I had seen it in pegging scenes but never really thought it did anything other than stopping and erection during that act. We live in a city of about 1M people. There is a fetlife group for chastity in our city, but it’s mostly guys looking for KH’s.

We regularly attend DomCon in New Orleans, LA. The group there is much more femdom than male dominant. Maybe 1 in 10 dominants are male.

But of the females, they split maybe 66% pro dommes and 33% lifestyle dommes. The lifestyle dommes are solidly into chastity, impact play (often used more as discipline), and cuckoldry.

The pro's all use chastity to some degree, but the lifestylers are the experts in that field.

The play nights can Blow. Your. Mind. You will see single tail whips and all sorts of rope play that is really incredible. Aftercare is a thing, as you might imagine.

Attendance has to be close to 500 or so people every year.
