Hi everybody We are total newbies with one week of experience so far. My husband is uncircumzised, he can keep the skin behind the glans, for example over night or at nude beach. Wearing clothing does not affect his glans, but the foreskin gets small swellings. They are not painful and get away after a few hours taking the skin back over the glans. The same swelling occurs when waering the cage with foreskin taken back. Has anybody a clue about it?
When we started I'd get that, especially with the little holes on devices like the HT ones. I believe it is edema. I don't know the cause but I felt it was caused by being too aroused too long, and being cage free for a while was, as you said, the solution. I haven't experienced it for a couple of years. My only suggestion is to try different cages.
Thanks for you support. You've mentioned the little holes, the cobra gives some niche grill patterns ;-) But in his case it is not related to the cage, it comes from trousers too. We will have an eye on it.
I've had this once with a tighter cherry keeper cage and scared the hell out of me. My solution was a cage 5mm wider and longer.
I’ve had this with my first cage. I put it down to the cage having gaps which were too big. My current cage is super snug and pretty close gaps so there’s no space for skin to swell up inbetween any gaps. I’d definitely suggest trying a different cage!
Sounds reasonable that there is less swelling with more cover. But more cover makes hygiene more difficult. Seems to be an individual equilibrium.
yes, that’s it does make sense, but I don’t find it difficult to keep clean enough. My mrs usually allows a release for a proper clean every week or two, and generally find that’s enough. I don’t know what cage your wearing, I use a red chilli terantula and so the gaps are big enough to allow cleaning, but not too big as to allow too much swelling.
I only have the bottom half of my foreskin remaining, and use a Mature Metal Jail Bird, and have noticed the foreskin becomes puffy at times. No pain or redness. I don't recall experiencing it when I first wore the cage long term the beginning of last year, but did during the recent Locktober event. The loose tissue sticks out through the openings of the snug fitting cage. I don't know the exact cause or a solution, as I haven't figured out the details.

As you see, I said can… not will… I am not looking to argue about it . I also have a large amount of foreskin, but I leave it in its natural state. I have open Jail Bird cage with inverted bars. Often, I can see the glans of my penis a bit, but sometimes it is fully closed. It just depends on how much foreskin is pulled forward. I did use a sock to put the cage on, but I don’t do that anymore. That did pull too much foreskin out. I just put the cage on and adjust foreskin through the bars to be natural. Some foreign gets out sometimes that is true, but I use a nursing pad in my underwear. That solves all problems. I am locked 24/7 over a year now, but I wash regularly. I have no issues of any kind in a custom cock cage. You might consider folding the foreskin back like described in "der Löffeltrick". https://www.gutefrage.net/a/frage/wie-funktioniert-der-vorhaut-loeffeltrick The video or picture sequence still exists, but i don't have the link handy. It works for me. We do weekly 'maintenance'. Never found any problems due to that. During re-installation, the stocking method helps keeping the folded foreskin in place. It is easier to cut the cuff of the stocking so the tissue is thinner.
A wider cage is your best solution, also just leaving the foreskin on the natural position will help.
