Hoping for a bit of advice. Just bought a custom cage and the ring is a fantastic fit 95% of the time but in certain circumstances, the ergonomic curve can be conducive to ball escape. Having just paid over $500, I don’t want to buy another, but remember reading about someone who was able to I use some kind of moulding resin to change the shape of their ring. Any ideas here what that material would have been?

What is the device that you wish to modify made of? That may well influence the materials and approach for modification.

It might be useful to know exactly which cage you're having trouble with.

It’s a Badass Workroom BD-25 with the ergonomic ring. The gap due to the ergonomic shape is just a smidge too big.

IIRC others have mentioned wrapping (medical) tape around part of the ring to reduce the gap.

Tape or molding clay might be useful for drilling down the size and I get that $500 is a lot of money but at the end of the day I'd want a metal ring.

@jimbo0231 : I would send it back for an additional modification... if you are that deep into it, spending a little more isn't going to kill you to get it right. You won't regret it.
