Totally agree that short and slightly wide cage sizing is the best

Mine have never gone away, although they have lessened a bit. I think ring width is more important than cage length for nighttime issues. My (recent) primary device has two rings, a 40 and a 45. With the 45 I am seldom awakened. With the 40 I am finding I have stronger erections and also some (usually almost pleasant) testicular pain, not from the cage moving but from the ring squeeze on the sides. I think the 40 versus 45 difference is essentially a cockring effect. I've also been having strong sex dreams every few nights when wearing the 40, most recently about a quite petite old girlfriend with a tight pussy. That one woke me up.

You might be on to something here. I've just bought a Vice, having the extra small 3mm 'Z-Spacer' along with the anti-pullout attachment means I can go for a slightly larger ring with no risk of slippage. Haven't woken up so far wearing it, hope it continues that way.

Same here - although my body follows a general pattern, other factors are always at play... (Teasing sessions, physical activity, stress, exhaustion...)

Ideally, it should fit like a glove... Which is easier said than done. Short and wide seems to be the best rule of thumb.

Thank you everyone for your advice.
Last night I made it through the whole night in my cage for the first time by rolling over to sleep on my stomach every time I experienced nocturnal erections so that the weight of my body kept the cage nice and tight against my body.
    That was the trick!

I still struggle with nocturnal erections, I now have a belt for the cage, which keeps it tight to me and helps a lot, but I still struggle and lose sleep
