I purchased a steel Bon4m small about 2 months ago after seeing so many give it positive reviews. The metal construction, hinged base ring and variety and ease of changing sized base rings was very attractive. As many have encountered I too had to file down the sharper edges of the base and I was also having some discomfort from the hinge just below the scrotum. But I had a similar chaffing and rubbing issue with my MM Jailbird as well. I think that I may have found a solution at my local Home Depot that makes the Bon4m the best so far hands down. I purchased latex rubber tubing size 1/4" x 3/8" lubricated the base ring and inside of the tube with silicone lube and was able to create a soft latex cover over the base ring that now allows me to use a slightly bigger ring which gives me a little flexibility with the nighttime erections and much more comfortable, rub free fit. Of course this may be an issue with anyone who has a Latex allergy, but they also sell silicone tubing in the same size that may work as well. I have not tried that tubing. I also use a Avon silicone glove hand cream around the base as a skin protector and over the past week the device has been extremely comfortable without any chaffing or rubbing. I am a little worried that now that its more comfortable my Goddess will want to keep it on for even longer periods of time though.
GREAT review and I LOVE the practical fix!!!! Good job!!!!! This is exactly the sort of thing I have on my hinged base ring.... and it makes my life sooooo much easier! Just watch out.... over time the sheath can get a bit funky, so have some spare tubing on hand! Now if only there was a PA fixing to enhance security..... With the absolute kindest regards. J.
Actually.... as my brain seems to be firing five minutes late.... I'm wondering if there's anyone out there with a foreskin who is wearing this device and is willing to report on it..... With the absolute kindest regards. J.
And a better locking system. It's such a shame that so many devices use small/cheap padlocks. Frankly to me the security screw devices are not much better. The best solution so far seems to be the type of lock used on the Looker02.
No worries I had to buy 10 ft for $17. I'm thinking that will keep me good for a long while and I will need it as my Goddess read the post and said not that it not causing as many problems I can expect to be in it a lot more.
I do. Basically... it's necessary to pull the foreskin back and keep it that way. This is the case for any ball-trap style device. Otherwise the skin pokes out which leads to occasional but sudden and very painful pinching. With the head exposed... the Bon4M can be a bit painful if the flaccid head bumps into the cage wall. Plastic cages like the HT tend not to have that problem in my experience. -droog
Thank you so much, been wearing it like this for a week and it’s so much better not waking up with chronic “ball burn”, it is so amazingly comfortable now.
I also have the Bon4 small and thanks for the idea. I will go buy some tubing soon to cover the full base. I know this will help stop the pinching as I do wear my cage 24\7. thanks again
I have the problem that either my foreskin gets pushed out and get cuts Or the bottom part of the cage cutting my foreskin
Hi, I've tried so many cages including the Bon4, tbh you shouldn't need to put rubber or similar tubing round the base ring, if after a good polishing it's still causing issues then perhaps a different size? The danger with the tubing is that if push comes to shove your skin will tear, I know this from personal experience. They do solid rings too, but they're still square section, my only issue with this device. I would also suggest that if you can get the tubing around the ring and it still fits, it's to big? I've found that wearing a ring without the cage for a few weeks if you can, you'll find that you can probably go down a size. Take advice with pinch of salt, what works for me might not for you, I'd hate for you to experience the skin tearing I got from rubber/silicon tubing. Good luck
That's not a problem, just look forward to when you get to the stage where you want to keep it on for longer periods of time than she does!
I've been considering a Bon4, and I really appreciate the advice. I looked at the square profile of the base ring and immediately thought it would have to be rounded, generously. Fortunately, I have a machine shop available and can perform this change. That said, the suggestion of covering with tubing was inspired - I would not have thought of that. Thanks again.
