What's everyone's daily cleaning process look like? I know for many, Q-tips are your friend. I recently started using a nasal rinse bottle to squirt in the tiny Opening of my nub while in the shower. What do you think is a reasonable time to stay locked before a really good cleaning? I'm sure if you've got an open design cage that hygiene isn't much of an issue. But for me it's closed design and I'm uncut.
i have a nub as well and also have a squirt bottle that can fit in the opening to rinse the nub out, I also use soapy water then rinse good, i can also put my small finger in the nub on the underside between the cage and balls. I take mine off once a week for a good cleaning and trim
I am locked 24/7 by my Mistress in an open-wire metal mini-cage. I keep clean by using soap and a stiff shaving brush, followed by a strong rinse with the spray attachment in the shower. Once every 2 or 3 weeks Mistress unlocks me for a deep cleaning which she performs herself, my hands always restrained behind my back. But she only unlocks and removes the cage portion of my device, my base ring is permanent and always stays on.
I use Electronic cleaning swabs. they hold up way better than Q tips. They are made of sponge and have a good long handle. One swab will last me a week even when used daily. I am lucky my madam is quite a clean freak, she unlocks me every 5 to 7 days for cleaning, now I am in a tube style device and not a cage she leans towards every 5 days now.
The longest I have gone without removal is over 300 days. Besides regular showering, I use Q-tips with isopropyl alcohol to freshen up as needed.
When I am locked, it is full time, no letting me out for cleaning. While doing our research and testing for a cage that could be worn 24/7 AND stay clean (my Mistress cannot stand any type of funky smell) is the Mature metal cages. I have both the Watchful Mistress and the Jailbird, and i can honestly say the Jailbird is the easiest to keep clean. I use a soft bristle tooth brush on a daily basis with some shower gel when I clean each day in the shower, there is not anything that I can't clean with the toothbrush, just make sure it is a soft bristle if you like your skin. lol
The toilet is equipped with a bidet so the device is washed every time the sissy visits the bathroom. Additional cleaning with alcohol or total cleaning as required. Total cleaning is only done while sissy is fully restrained.
I'm in a MCN Contender which is a relatively open cage. I shower daily and lather it up well with a mild soap, then rinse. I can get a finger in through the base ring to the underside of the shaft, with a bit of device twisting, to get the soap in there. Using a blow dryer after shower to dry, sometimes a few minutes apart, is very very helpful. Again, a finger through the base ring is helpful to get any skin lotion or treatment for abrasions. Most of the shaving I can get with the cage and ring on, but there are spots that are impossible to shave. On an irregular basis (as needed), I am allowed to unlock to shave, thoroughly clean and air out...usually in conjunction with a medical appt. If found that if I miss a shower (and cleaning in the cage), things do get kind of itchy, so the shower is an important part of my hygiene regimen.
Instead of shaving (which i have found out can be very itchy and sore at times), try using a hair removal product like Nair. I don't have to use it as often as I did when I shaved, and I don't have near the discomfort or razor burn. Lotion or Vaseline helps keep the entire area smooth and pain free. Hope this helps anyone that needs it, I always see where people shave, but i found this practice to be much more user friendly!
I use Nair for Men on my arms, legs & trunk but I've found it too intense for those sensitive areas, especially the testicle sack. Never again! LOL. But everyone is no doubt different in terms of skin sensitivity. I used to get it waxed (hard wax method) and was very happy with the results when administered by a professional.
