Hey everyone. Gay bottom here whose just started his chaste adventures. I got myself a nice metal cage and ring which arrived three days ago, and I locked myself in immediately. The problem is I'm finding it so hard to sleep! The cage isn't uncomfortable at all. But I took it off last night and slept like a baby. I didn't spank the monkey, just slept. Any tips on getting a good night's sleep when caged?
Welcome to CM, I’m afraid I can’t help as I don’t sleep caged, I just find it impossible to do so, hence the only time I’m caged at night is for punishment only lol
Take your time. It is totally different. When you go to bed you are just there to sleep (generally) and you would normally just drift off with no distractions! A new cage on your cock, even a comfortable one is definitely a distraction! You will get there. Maybe wear it every other night for a while!
thanks folks, I'm really hoping to build up to permanent caging, I'll try alternating with and without nightly and see how i fare
Can you wear your cage for extended periods during the day? Once i could wear it longer than the time i was asleep, i managed to make it. It was a bit psychological for me. If you can't go that long, it might be the fit of your cage. Good luck and enjoy.
Sleeping in it can take some getting used to. I too had a hard time sleeping when I started full time chastity this year. My biggest issue was when I rolled onto my belly I would " kick stand " onto my cage. I recently purchased a smaller cage and " kick standing" is not an issue for me now. I have the luxury of fitting into a small cage, some may not be as fortunate. Also, a dab of petroleum jelly around the base ring will ease skin pulling during nocturnal erections. Good luck and enjoy.
I have a total grower, so my cage is pretty small. I guess it's just something I need to Sub-Up to and get used to
Work your way into it, this isn't a race.... I wouldn't even wear it over night a first... the I'd wait until you can wear it all day then take a 24 hour break from it and wear it over night.
What is it you are struggling with to get a good nights rest? if its nocturnal erections, not much you can do about them, they happen, but if you put some silicone lube / vaseline behind the base ring, this will help reduce ring burn, one cause of discomfort. you can also limit the amount of liquid you drink in the evening. I am more inclined to need to pee frequently during the night if I have had too many beers, I try not to consume liquids after about 8 - 9pm (2 or so hours before sleep). Comfortable / supportive underwear can also help Having something now envelop our penis/balls is an adjustment. You've gone straight to a mini cage (assume its the one in your avatar), have you worn something a bit longer first? You will likely be feeling quite squashed into your new cage and this can be a distraction at night. How long is it between orgasms, is this normal or longer? Before chastity, I'd struggle to sleep sometimes with hornyness and a desire for release. Having a cage on seems to have helped with this quite a bit but at night my mind can still take a while to settle, this could be contributing to your situation.
I think it's the alienness off having the cage there... Makes me constantly aware of it. I really don't have any burn or discomfort. Mz cock is definitely a grower, not a shower, so it doesnt feel really restricted. It IS longer than normal between orgasms. But I am milking myself daily with toys
Definitely just takes time to get used to, I currently have 3 cages I wear normally around a week at a time, after every change out sleeping is an issue for a day or 2 just because of the different feel of the cage.
I slept pretty well last night, fully caged I'm really looking forward to not having to think "Should I get the key?" and just being permanently caged.
Thats great to hear, be patient and listen to your body. Like others have said, this is t a race. Take time to ajdjust to the lifestyle. And most importantly, have fun with it!
@Jimbobbedyjobob i think that to have the cage on at nite in bed when you had it on all day as well is always hard to do but if you keep doing it after a bit it is ok and it dont wake you up.
As others have said it just takes time, there is no easy way. You may have to get used to it, good luck on your journey!
If you managed to sleep without a cage and didn't masturbate, what's the problem? Just take it off at night.
I found that the smaller the cage, the easier to sleep through the night. Occasionally I get a week out of the cage. Once it goes back on, it takes me a night or two to get back to sleeping through the night. After a week or so, the night-time erections subside!
+1 for the smaller cage. Its taking a while for Mrs Sen to adjust to me being in a small cage, but the comfort factor is awesome. Swapped out to a longer cage one day last week, piss poor attempt at sleep that night, ended up swapping back to the short and was all good. Can't see me going back now
I agree with Chastity Kris and NZSenator about a smaller cage working better at night - and also not drinking lots just before going to bed. I am a grower and used to have awful problems sleeping in chastity. I had cages and tubes that felt great during the day but agony at night. I could often get to sleep but would wake up several times, and if I had the key would end up taking the device off. The solution for me was to go custom and I have a cage now that is just the right size when I'm soft (so I'm resting gently against the metal bars), and doesn't really allow much by way of erections. I still wake up sometimes but there's no real pain, and a trip to the bathroom to pee often sorts things out.
Maybe it's because your mind is focused on the fact that you want to sleep. I have been sleeping on and off with one on, and haven't had much trouble unless it's one I haven't slept in before. Sleeping pills can help if you feel like something isn't 100% right with wearing it. Size can be a distraction too. I find that wearing a larger one can interfere with attempts to sleep more than a small one. So it's possible that the size may not be optimal. With sleeping, your train of thought needs to grind to a halt so that there is nothing to keep you awake. It's psychological, not just physical.
