I know it isn't designed to be used with a PA but is it advisable? A bad idea? Workable with the right jewelry? I honestly don't think I'll get my wife to go for it but I fantasize about a 4-6g lock running through the front bars of the cage. Forgive the clueless newbie question.
I tried but it pinched and it stuck out so if it was bumped it would hurt like crazy. I couldn’t wear it for even half a day.

Doesn’t it turn and pull on it when it touches anything? The bars act like a fulcrum. I have the same type of ring, I see you have a lot of other piercings, maybe I am just a pain wuss when it comes to that stuff
This is good advice from Thundar. I like the Wildcat Dream Ring myself as PA jewelry. I have another from Traume Aus Edelstahl - it has a custom hex driver and I like it for the locking aspect. If you’re using a segmented ring it will be a little fiddly to use the ring pliers to open up the gap and install the arc segment. Don’t expect to get in and out too quickly. You can also get a U shaped PA lock. Cheap ones and a nice one from MaleChastityNow. I tried tethering myself to chastity using a PA ring. It worked for a while but I’d always end up getting pinched up somehow. I didn’t like that or the messy urination. Try it if you have the Jailbird of course! But after experimenting with cables and locks and surveyors tape.... I ended up switching to a fixed PA hook with a plain end - no ball or anything to interrupt the flow of urine. It doesn’t move or pinch. I also can’t get any movement in the cage like I used too. Changed the experience. Lori started the fixed PA hook it seems. But I can’t tolerate the chunky weight. Malechastitynow’s Contender is an open cage, much like the Jailbird, but a bit lighter (and much faster). You can add a PA hook and mount that my wife is very fond of. It’s an elegant design. Everything is smooth and causes zero pain or mess.
I didn’t like how much it pushes out and I got pinched with that setup @laferrij If it works it works! No harm in trying. But I really like the fixed PA hook that holds me in the Contender.
