    Hi all!

    I'm a glassblower out of the US. I've started offering a way to keep an emergency key out of your hands, trapping it in a handmade blown glass piece.

    I'm still hashing out other designs, but my initial offering is up if anyone would like to purchase their own one of a kind glass prison.

    Think about it, if you go for the key, there's no way to get it back in, so you'll think twice before you access it.

    I'd be worried about glass shards, especially if it really is an emergency and you have to get the key out right damn now (e.g. medical emergency)...

    I'm wondering if you could seal a key into one of the glass dildo similar to those advertized on your site.
    would that be at all possible?

    I would only be able to do it if I sealed the key into the glass using epoxy as opposed to glass surrounding it, as I'd have to make the glass piece first, anneal it to make sure its destressed and safe for use, and put the key in and add an epoxy plug.

    Aesthetically I'm not so sure it's a good idea. I like the concept, but the execution will leave some to be desired.

    The key might be placed into one of those little glass snow globes. Then subbie could watch as the key slowly disappears under the snow.

    What an incredible idea to have the key visible but out of reach. Your work is nice & i will have to show this to my Wife to see what She thinks.

    Thanks all :) The day gig's still sucking up far too much time, though the last time I was in my shop I was working on a torso and legs to put a key in.

    Looks interesting but a sealed and signed small envelope works for us. Your work is beautiful but we do not keep the spare key where anyone can see it.

    I think key in glass would be great. Can you make it so the key is hanging in side off a stem of glass so it can swing back and forth.
