    So most of us on here are, at some level, masochists.

    3. a person who finds pleasure in self-denial, submissiveness, etc.

    So when talking to my wife I wasn't sure what a suitable punishment is when I like to be spanked/cropped etc. Obviously there is talking it to a point where it is painful but she already has issues with thinking she is hurting me. So what is everyone's thoughts on punishments when some of us get off on having some level of pain inflicted upon us?

    I would guess it's taking it further than what is "fun".

    I have found out that I enjoy the spanking/paddling, but there is a paddle she used once that was not fun. It hurt. Not in a sexy warm feeling, but damn that really hurts feeling. That would be punishment for me. But I'm not much of a pain guy.

    Real punishment for me would be lack of contact or intimacy. Being locked and ignored would be aweful. If they know you they can figure out what your limits are, and what is real punishment and what is getting you off.

    I guess the difference I'm looking for is between funishment and punishment. I agree @Nicoftime that being locked and ignored would be aweful.

    I have to agree with some of the posts here. For a masochist pain is not likely going to work as a punishment. I am a bit of one.
