Tom Baker will always be a tough act to follow, but yes, this season with Capaldi was one of the best ever in my opinion. I may have to buy the box set when it's available. I like all the Doctors for different reasons.

William Hartnell was so right old enough to be a time traveller yet genuine supprise at new things.

I can still remember the first shot of the er sink plunger !
As for the first sight of a Dalek never seen anything like that before.

Well, I'm not a big Doctor Who fan (I know, sacrilege!) but my son loves it. As for other Doctors in popular culture I am particularly fond of Dr. Nefarious. He is a character from the Ratchett and Clank games I used to play back on my PlayStation 2!

I don't play console games any more, it is one of the things my Wife doesn't like me doing.

I didn't really get Matt Smith as the Doctor, but David Tennant was good. I did however really enjoy the Christmas Special with River Song, so the current Doctor is good as well.

    Then there's Ben Casey.
James Brolin played a doctor too. I forgot his name.

Lets forget Dr Huxtable. He thought he had everyone fooled but his past gas caught up with him.

The best real doctor was a real doctor who appeared on TV. G Edward Koop. He was appointed Surgeon General for the USA. His passion was pointing out the health effects of cigarettes. He refused to toe the line and was canned, but he was truly brave and honest. He helped get the anti smoking laws started. Thank you, Dr Koop!

I'm not sure what these guys had to do with chastity. Maybe they just lived in mansions!

Awesomeness! Yes, that was groundbreaking stuff. I have caught it on Hulu and watched it a few times, was so awesome. Had to stop watching the Peter Cushing movie they made of that episode. Was too painful to watch.

My preference would be Doctor House except that he looks so much like my ex that I now find his image difficult to endure.

Indeed. I share your sentiments of New Who. Tennant was my fave until Capaldi rolled around. Have to say he's winning me over. But as @Billus said, Tom Baker is a tough act to follow. But I also have a great appreciation for Pertwee. And all of them really. I do like all of them for different reasons too :)

House was awesome. As @Caged_Wolf said, An ass, but really wanted to help people. Really enjoyed that show. Have you ever seen him in old episodes of Blackadder? Much younger and a totally humiliating character, might amuse you as far as your ex is concerned? :)

This is The Bar, for subjects that don't necessarily involve Chastity, but Doctor River Song from Doctor Who would definitely make a good Mistress/Keyholder:

Matt Smith. Took me a while to warm up to him. I think because he was so young he appeals more to younger viewers. He actually got a lot of his ideas on playing the Doctor from Patrick Troughton's 2nd Doctor. He was pretty cool too. :)

Thanks Pirate. It hit me that I had slaughtered my hero's mame and you had fixed it.

I always liked Dr Roy Coffee. He patched up a lot of cowboys. I always wondered why his office was up a flight of stairs though.

Who remembers Dr. Kildare? What was his senior boss's name?

I know this all fits with chastity, but I cannot figure out how.
Wouldn't it be grand if the top 100 posters here could have a swell nnew years party? Maybe I shouldn't have used the word swell!

You're welcome! Actually, "The Bar" is a "room" here at the Mansion that is for off-topic (not about Chastity) discussion. But of course, being Chastity Mansion, it will pop up there too. Which is why you see posts about Star Wars and Doctors and such in it. It could be a bit confusing, because the "What's New" section pulls the newest threads from every room here, whether it be the Tower, the Pedestal, the Powder Room, & etc., and collates it all together so people can see what everyone's been up to. Each "room" is dedicated to a particular topic, but as mentioned, the topic for the Bar is open to anything.

As for the upstairs office; many a cowboy doctor had an upstairs office. The doc in "Support Your Local Gunfighter" had an upstairs office inside a BARN, where you would have had to walk past some dung to get medical help. But back in those days, office space was probably a bit more difficult to come by. :)

The Bar went right over my head. I feel better now.
Dr. Gellespy was Dr Kildare's wise old boss.
