Troubles with Piercing Cages

I have both the evotion bijou and the penicap. Both seem to fit very well and are almost unnoticeable when soft, however I’ve found that when I get hard there’s a lot of pressure behind my gland on the sides. This is tolerable at first but gets bad enough that after 2 or 3 days I can’t wear the cage as it starts to hurt. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I haven’t seen many posts about issues with piercing cages in her. I was very excited to have a cage my gf can keep on me permanently but neither of these seem to work and if I go bigger there’ll be too much movement when I’m soft, putting strain in the piercing
