Many inexpensive devices can be purchased with or without a testicular separator. What are the pros and cons of a testicular separator? I don't remember ever seeing them as an option on more expensive devices.
I don't think there are any pros or cons. They are just an embellishment. There are leather separators available but they are more of a punishment device.
There was one done by Lori, really top- the range. Was a 2E. Not currently in production though. There are pics of this on FL somewhere but not sure links yet.
I think they don't really do anything other than what the name implies. There is no benefit or takeaway. Just makes the balls look better
I purchased one with it. I thought it would be cool. But to be honest it was kinda annoying. When I felt the need to tug on my balls for comfort it was in the way.
it's all mostly esthetic value. Good to look at, but that's about all. Unless your Dom wants to zero in on a particular ball..... then it's really up to them anyway.
They expose the balls by keeping them always fully displayed, vulnerable and easily accessible for squeezing and punishments.
Thank you for the replies! For now I'm not going with a testicular separator, but now I better understand why some purchase them. I might get one in the future, but for now, I'm content with a plain ring!
Sounds like a rope would work just as well. Or some ribbon. No need to spend a bunch of money on something you could get at a craft or hardware store
I bought a pair of Chinese cages, one of which included a ring with a spreader. (picture here) Princess likes the look and it's great if she wants to engage in a bit of playing focused on my balls. While it's OK for moderately active day-to-day wear, I found it to be a bit annoying for more active pursuits such as running and cycling. Fortunately, the rings are interchangeable between the two cages, so we can mix and match as Princess desires.
I recently modified both the ringed cage shown in my gallery and the teste ring with the seperator. I cut away two of the cage rings and streightened the cage which also effectively shortened it. I then bent the seperator bar so it touches the bottom of the cage. It now holds ‘em high and tight. I haven’t ridden my bike yet, but no problem running.
Kinda like mine. Pic is profile pic. Larger than most they kinda rock back and forth as I move around. Hook could be a little longer, maybe even reach the cage. But overall pretty comfortable to me.
