My cage is 3-D printed made of nylon. The base ring has just a touch of texture that can irritate sometimes. Does anyone have a suggestion on a specific buffing implement I could use to make the base ring a bit smoother? Thanks!

When buffing plastics be sure to not hold it in one place very long or you will melt it

Wet and dry paper by hand, working finer from perhaps 200 to 600 grit and used wet for the final stages

A really good way to find the rough bits is to use your tongue... far more sensitive by many multiples than using a finger. (be careful not to ingest any grinding paste if you're using it.)
