    Be ok if it was a new house and nobody knew the layout but suddenly to loose a room that size omg how?

    I think you have a basement definitely much easier and nice big overhead beams very useful. You could also get away with doing brick walls or stone . Big concealed cupboard /dungeon / cell to put all your kit it .

    Get a lot more atmosphere and it's a different place not your house. Also dampens any noise !!!

    Our house is fairly large (like I said, everything here in the West is BIG!). We have a 3 story home: Master bedroom on the main floor directly above proposed playroom in the basement, 2 bedrooms upstairs and a guest suite over the garages. Our 2 kids will notice the missing room when they are visiting but we might just tell them what it is knowing they will never ask about it again--wink wink--haha. As for everyone else, we'll just have to play dumb... We have some close friends that already know of my husband's interest in BDSM and we will probably want/need to show them the room when it is finished (show only, no playing!).

    We're not too worried about noise problems since it is directly under our bedroom and will probably only be used when nobody else is in the house (just our dogs that will probably wonder what all the screaming, moaning and groaning is... :spank: --haha).

    Hmmmmm, how about a hidden staircase, secret dungeon style, leading down from your bedroom? Then just wall off the existing door. Seems much more romantic and intimate to me, knowing now that the room is below your bed chamber. ;)

    We are considering a spiral staircase from our bedroom but my husband thinks it might be too much construction since we have heated floors (lots of pipes running everywhere). Thanks for the ideas though!

    Yeah, don't want to go messing up the heated floors. Spiral staircase would be nice though. Sounds like the secret door is your best option. :)

    I like the idea of a secret entrance from you room if that is possible. Is this the house you will be in forever, might be hard to sell otherwise.

    I love the idea of this!

    Definitely digging the cage idea. Either that or make him make a jail cell so you can determine his sentence.

    @bnd2plz oh to have that much space Mistress. We have a small room where my cot and changing table live and so far we have managed to keep the children away :) we also have a full bondage bed in our bedroom from www.beds-and-more.com it looks like a metal bed but can be converted quickly into a rack a suspension sling etc. Good luck!

    The room is pretty large, but I think the camera made it look bigger than it really is. My husband found a builder that he feels pretty good about--easy going, does most of the work himself and the price is right. Looks like we're going ahead with it.
    (Side note: my husband was locked up in his cock cage when he was visiting with the builder... I don't know why but it just seemed funny to me him standing there trying to act all manly but I knew his junk was all locked up in his jeans. It was really empowering to me.

    People's worried it might hurt resale value. What if New owners was husband was locked away also. It may add value not take away.
    Or the new owners learn the benefits and just another guy gets locked up to fully enjoy the great room in the new house
