Purpose of wearing a strap?

    Hi,
    I noticed some chastity device wearers also wear an elastic strap.
    Using the case for smaller or micro cages.
    May I know how wearing a strap helps? And what is it supposed to help with?

    I use a old shoestring, and it helps support the metal cage and keeps the penis inside the cage.

    Though the PA ring seemed better at keeping head of penis in tip of cage.

    I also wear snug fitting boxers, and combined keep cage closer to body.

    It holds the device closer to your body and takes the weight of it so it isn’t pulling on your balls as much. It also keeps it in place better so it reduces movement of our device, thus reducing chaffing and irritation.
