I would like to ask the group if anyone has knowledge of possible metal contamination to the skin from a PA lock? I see that some locks (all I believe manufactured in China) are listed as titanium and some do not list the material. Traditionally, stainless steel I believe is the safest material to prevent contamination. The average value for urine pH is 6.0, but it can range from 4.5 to 8.0. Urine under 5.0 is acidic, and urine higher than 8.0 is alkaline. While it appears that these levels are not high enough to cause corrosion to materials such as titanium all one has to do is look at the divider stall in a men's room and see the corrosion from urine. Products made in China are not always reputable for the materials listed. If anyone has information I would appreciate your comments.
