Hello everyone, hoping you can help me. I emailed them a month ago for complete payment info as my bank required more info to wire the money to neosteel. After I did this, I sent an email asking for payment confirmation, as well as changing one of my measurements as I put a wrong number when I submitted my measurements. I have since sent an email this week again asking if they received my last email and still no reply. Did I just get scammed out of my money? This isn't what I wanted to feel after ordering the belt and sending money over. He was quick to reply (within 12 hours) of me asking for complete payment information, but once I sent the money, he's ghosted on my other emails. Help?
I'm starting to think we need a "crap comms from CB makers" thread! It would probably be quite reassuring - they are mostly one or two person businesses who have to balance correspondence with making artisanal products. So if I were you I would keep an eye on this, but not panic.
Neosteel can be very difficult to communicate with ... it can take anywhere from hours and up to 2 months to get a response from them via email ... but you can also take the phone and call them: Tel./Fax 0049-2662-5078528 from the USA please dial: 01149-2662-5078528 but that's how they have chosen to run your shop. I always got an answer and what I ordered / bought .... got coffee with them this summer too.
Ultimately I know they will respond, it's just some panic. Everyone on the forum has essentially said the same thing, that they are slow to respond but no one here has ever mentioned them taking their money and running. Guess I am just being impatient for wanting a reply within a month. I will just wait another two weeks and see what happens. Thanks all for replying

My assumption would be that they only que up email replies on the belts that have come in and are waiting to be made on a rolling basis, and that they finally got around to mine It took them about a month or so to get back to me, but that was with a follow up email. If you send a follow up email, I would assume you're more likely to get a reply.
With that virus going around lots of people are scared to ship stuff just coming out of the country i hear its quarantine for like 4 weeks or something And then who knows how long it has to wait at Customs once it gets here
Sounds like you're worrying just about as much as me, which is a healthy amount. Since he's replied to me, I'm nearly sure he'll reply to you in due time, with proper follow ups.
I am glad to hear that Neosteel is OK. I sent them a note in Mid-January and have not gotten a reply despite resending it a couple of times. It's now over 2 months. I'm discouraged because I am a repeat customer and I have a module that needs a slight resizing so I need to know what to pay them for that and I need to know the shipping address they are using to receive items. It's just not something that you can order on the Website and I don't want to assume a mailing address without confirmation. I have to say that were I not someone who received an order previously, I'd be worried, especially if I had sent money and heard nothing. Though I can say they make the very best items and everything I've ever received from them was exactly as specified and of the highest quality. I hope they can catch up and respond to folks soon. C1
