Hi folks. I have Contender that I got in January. This is not my first cage. I am getting skin irritation to the point of broken skin that I noticed today during a granted cleaning. It is on the underside of my penis near the base. No I can't wear it until my skin heals and there is a fix for the cage. I've emailed Mark at MCN as well. Has anyone experienced this and what did you do? Thanks!
I will also add that I feel no pain when wearing the Contender. This last stint was 6 days. I only noticed taking the cage off. Ugh.
Hmm, that spot hasn't been an issue for me. The only irritation I've had was on the tip of my penis, which was self-induced by fiddling too much with the cage while aroused. So unless something like that is your issue, I'm not too sure. How's the quality of the weld in that area? My only other guess is maybe your gap width or your cage ring is too small. Hopefully it's not the latter since that's the one measurement that can't be adjusted.
I had the same problem. He adjusted the diameter of the cage rings to a larger size. I also think my skin needed to toughen up. I have no problem now, even after nearly 50 days of continuous wear. Are you using some kind of lube or lotion?
@613CuckLock , I have the same whilst wearing my contender. It typically occurs after 4-5 days 24/7 wearing. I am sure my cage is not to small and it happens at the place where the cage section is welded to the rings. After 1 day of treatment and not wearing my cage, I can start again. I am also looking forward to a solution as I am trying to stay for longer periods. After inspection I can not find any rough or unpolished spots in the cage, so it looks like that the skin there is simply too thin and sensitive. Looking forward too any experience how to solve as well!
Thanks for all the replies. It's worse skin damage that I first thought. Not good so I'll need a fix. It sounds like it's more common than I first thought. I appreciate all the feedback. Like the others, the quality of the welds and metal is top notch so it's not from any imperfections.
Mark replied quickly as always. The fix is to fill the gap between the angled rings with a smooth weld. So I'll be getting that done and I'll let you know the results in a few weeks!
That would be great, waiting for the results! In that case I'll have to ask Mark to modify my cage and I have to send it back to the States. So I have to survice a couple of weeks without.... Perhaps I will then order a new "improved" cage section. Nevertheless, let me know the results!
So after sending my Contender to the wrong address, it finally came back then I resent to Mark. Fix was done same day and returned to me. Excellent workmanship. It's been on for three days now and no issues. Wife will do a health check later tonight then back in for another 17 days - at least, so I'm told!
