I love, love, love the JB but as it arrived I was not ready for the alignment issues getting the holes lined up for the lock. It may be a skillset issue for me but it was a little more fumbling that I was expecting. Any simple tips?
If you use the set screw, go to the hardware store and buy the same size just much longer. Then take a cuetip and cut off one end. Use the cuetip to line up the holes and start the long screw from one side. Then start the set screw or insert the lock from the other side, backing out the long screw. As a self locker this is the only way I get the holes to line up. Good luck and it gets easier each time you do it. Once you have it secured, never take the cage off again and that solves your problem. LOL.
