Introducting - The Cherry Keeper

After many months of design, revision, and testing, I am proud to finally reveal the final product - The Cherry Keeper!

Not all of those goals were hit right away, but eventually the original list of goals was checked off one by one

• provide a stronger mechanical mounting system
• Use of the magic locker for the smallest profile
• less flexing of the joint for a more consistent ring gap
• prevent pitching on joining
• have a definitive "fully seated" position so it's easier to know that the lock should slip in
• lower profile / less bulky
• better lock tolerances

Along the way, ideas came up, and revisions were made, and ultimately, a few more features were added

• ergonomic ring design
• Three different styles of padlock and single use plastic lock support
• mounting system for add-ons
• the unicorn add-on
• the realistic dildo add-on
• the bullet-vibe add-on

To say I'm pleased with everything available in the Cherry Keeper suite is an understatement. I want to give many thanks to the members of CM and the /r/chastity sub-reddit who provided input and served as testers - without your input, it would not have been possible.

Over the next day or so, the Cherry Keeper products in my Shapeways store will be populated, and several standard offerings will be made available as combos. Individual pieces will also be available if you want something other than the combos offered. In the future, I will make printable files for three ring sizes and two cage sizes freely available to members of Chastity Mansion. I will also begin taking custom orders for people who want specific size rings and cage lengths - custom add-ons are only limited by your imagination, the size of package, and the laws of physics!

So, the material Shapeways uses is Nylon 12, which according to MSDS is safe for all body contact and, as I mentioned in another post, has no known adverse affect even when ingested.

"Nylon ingredients are polymers and are not absorbed through the skin; due to the poor absorption of polymers, there is usually little concern for human health after exposure to polymers when they are used in cosmetics and personal care products"

I'm not a scientist, nor am I the first person to manufacture such a device in this fashion, and I have a high comfort level in saying it's low risk. If you have a skin sensitivity to Nylon, then it makes sense to avoid any 3D printed product made of Nylon.

If completely sealing a product is where you want to be, you'll want to look into a conformal coating product. It is a spray or can be applied with a brush, and is commonly used to waterproof circuit boards, and in certain homes, to seal sex toys

To answer your last question - No, the parts from the New Fun Cage and the Cherry Keeper are not interchangeable.

I'm still working on getting the other cages into the store - if you have a specific size/need and let me know, I can prioritize that.

 

Miss advised on a few spots that she would like more sanding done... it feels like we're close The one I made for myself is a semi-flex material (noone sells flexible SLS prints in the US!), and is scaled to match the factory equipment

 

If it's not perfect for you, you let me know what you'd like changed, and I'll get one drawn up that's closer to perfect for you. My "perfect" has changed over time, so it's got to be about the journey, not just the destination!

Actually, it's from another modeler, named adid, who released it to the community with attribution license (hence the notice on the product page). I messaged back and forth with him/her a few times, and you can imagine it to be a famous persons cock, or some anonymous strangers cock, because if adid knows, he/she isn't telling!

 

Their site says 5-9 business days - I'm as excited as you are

I got a question about the difference between the natural plastic, the processed plastic and the professional plastic via PM, and I thought others might have the same question, so I'm reposting that answer here

So, I'll link to what Shapeways says about the materials first:

The materials are both Nylon PA-12, but they are printed with two different technologies which gives different finishes.

The versatile plastic is best described as an eggshell finish, while the processed plastic finish is tumbled or blasted to remove some material and provide a smoother finish, and then dyed/sprayed with color.

The Professional plastic is printed with a newer style of printer that has a better resolution and provides the smoothest finish, and is semi-glossy, but is only available in the two colors as the material starts off as grey, and can be dyed black.

In the gallery I posted in the first post, most of the pictures are of the prototypes I printed, except the purple cage. That is the processed plastic with the purple finish! It is pretty smooth, but there's definitely a small amount of texture there - it will never be "polished steel" smooth, but it's not coarse against the skin.

I hope this helps anyone who might have the same question!
