How to polish a stainless steel cage

    I have been ordered by my wife to polish the surface of my Steelworxx Steelheart 1. She loves the shiny stainless steel and wants it to be as shining as possible.

    Does anyone have experience or tips and tricks for polishing stainless steel?

    I am thinking of buying a Dremel with small polishing discs and use it with some kind of polishing compound.

    Because I am locked 24/7 in my Steelheart the polishing job has to be done while I am still wearing it.

    I would never try that while wearing it. It would be way to easy to get hurt bad and not to mention all the polishing compounds get on you and being absorbed into your system

    Lemon juice or vinegar will get rid of any greases or oils. Then soft cloth and elbow grease to polish.

    I realize you are talking about polishing your cage while wearing it,
    ..But If you ever do take it off for a few minutes,
    I recommend using an ultrasonic jewelry bath such as this
    it will clean and shine your stainless steel

    My dremel has a variable speeds from 10,000 to 35,000 RPMs. No way would I use it to clean my device while wearing it. Murphy's Law.

    doing this while wearing it… is an unreasonable request. Not trying to give anyone a hard time or put anyone down, but if she wants you to accomplish this while wearing it… she just doesn’t know what she is talking about.

    She is going to need to make a very minor concession of putting you in a different device or compromising position while it is polished. If she isn’t willing to do that, she is essentially ok with you seriously hurting yourself permanently.

    Asking you to polish your device while wearing it is like asking her to sit on the cooker while preparing a hot meal.

    It's not just an accident waiting to happen, but you won't get the best result from the task either.
