Hi Sorry to disappoint but this has no sex naughty words or dirty photos. Today I bought a glass dish from a charity shop. Lovely green glass made 1920 - 1930 £ 2.50 p . It is pristine not a scratch just as if it was brand new out of the box , but it's at least 85 years old probably nearer a hundred. What happened or rather did not happen to it to stay basically untouched for all that time . Even the bottom of the feet are just about scratch free. My thoughts. Given as a wedding present in say 1925 put into a glass cabnet . Taken out every so often for a dust and carefully at that . Must have been wooden shelves or even on a cloth doilies of some kind . Got missed by the bombing of the war. Then the owner died and it took its last but one trip to the charity shop to sit in the sun for a few hours till I saw it on my way home last night . Now it's mine to look after for a while but I don't think it's going to be for 90 years like the last custodian . Xx Wendy
You have to marvel at a peice of history where it has been who owned it and the Era it lived through so interesting. ..I just love old things and the history behind them
