Device& App & Porn control test run review

Over the past few months my Wife and I have included various parental controls on my devices.

Why you might ask.

My wife believes i spent too much time either on my Phone,Tablet or Laptop and If she could she would turn them off and i also like gadgets and these days I only have a very small amount of finances in my name to use and soon this will be gone too.

We spoke about it and decided if she desired this control I should help make this work, Expressed was also was mature content she didn't like me viewing porn and other adult rated humor when i wanted. Difficult to avoid in a male dominated workforce.

So testing began with multiple free apps as we didnt know if this is going to work but i've compiled a list of what did work for the most part.

Be aware that these apps were installed on Android 7.0 and Windows 7 but may also be available for ios devices.


1 K9 web protection free but Norton software bought them up just to kill its competition so It might not be around in 2020 (Windows)

k9 web protection was installed with a free account in her name and a password and completely blocks porn and any other categories one desires and has a whitelist for allowing sites that would be blocked. Once it's installed that's it.


2 Safe Surfer free (android)

Safe surfer is meant to be used with a household device but as an app it works fine and will block porn and a few other sites Including ChastityMansion.com but there is no whitelist and requires a free account and 4 digit password. again once its installed thats it and it can be stopped with her password but it does have to be manually turned back on.


3 Finger print scanner (android hardware)

Its not available in all devices but a little pad on the back of a device is used instead of passwords or pin numbers, She scanned her finger print as Admin so she could unlock the device without needing any pin or password.


4 Applock + fingerprint (android)

This allowed selected apps like Ebay of Amazon to be locked with her fingerprint so I could not make purchases with those apps or too lock parental apps with it or set it up to Auto lock any new apps that's installed before she approved them.


5 Dinner Time (android)

This app allowed her remote lock or shut down of android devices.


6 Asus Link (Android & Windows)

Asus Link is designed for Asus devices & Asus laptops but It works for other brands too.

This allowed her to remotely logout or shutdown my windows 7 laptop.


This Trial has all recently ended apart from K9 web protection on my laptop.

In reality she never used the remote log off or shut down apps so this became pointless.

What she enjoyed was me asking her to unlock apps in private & in public with her fingerprint and when I had to ask if I could look at mature content for a short time and also to read ChastityMansion.com


Unfortunately Android has no built in parental software for the most devices which is wrong in this day and digital age and 99% of all parental software available for android was subscription based in the small print.
